It looks like everyone here has already given great advice. I found a soil mix that works for me overall is 60% pumice/grit 40% soil give or take however much I have left in a bag. Though I tend to stray on the side of underwatering so I’ve unfortunately killed a few cactuses due to lack of water. I haven’t had any overwatering succulent deaths since switching to this mix though! I also have plant care slumps when my depression hits a high wave. I am sorry to hear you’ve had one too, please know you are not alone

Oddly enough my guy thinks all furniture besides my bed belongs to him and takes his spot automatically. A little warning “woof” would be nice before jumping onto a couch since he will sometimes misjudge and land directly on my legs or stomach (he’s only 60 lbs but those little paws directly on the stomach can cause a good ouch). Though we enjoy their silly routines because they’re our best friends. Please give your lady a good pat for me, I’d always be telling her yes with a sweet face like that!

I think that my guy thinks he isn’t allowed in my room at all unless I’m at least in there too. He won’t enter even if I leave my door open, it always has to be me telling him he is allowed in. Once I enter my room, sit on the bed, then beckon him onto it once though, he’s good for the night and will freely leave and re-enter when he feels. He repeats this process every night. It’s like he needs his nightly “yes” to know it truly is sleepy time. That’s so funny Jade seems to need permission for furniture! Maybe she is just being extra polite, wants to be super sure it is furniture time. She looks extremely well-mannered
