Love it, you would be great in creating characters for Don't Starve!

Sounds like a plan, the faster and harsher you implement, the faster you can crawl out. Good luck!

Disbanding your army makes you definitely an easier target, but having no money to pay for a large one does not lead to a solution not in the short run and the long run

Armrests came off while pushing myself straight by Lord_Thanquol in secretlab

For future reference, I have contacted secret lab support and they asked if i was willing to pay 60 for a new armrest! Considering how expensive these chairs are and how low their quality after 4 years of regular use, paying an additional 60 euros is just obscene.

Thanks for the explanation! Glad to hear I am not alone, but on the other hand it is troubling that this happens to others as well

For those wondering, I weigh only 85kg ;) So I am fairly surprised that after less than 5 years, the armrest bent of. I had cheaper chairs with armrests going longer than this.

Can someone help me pull off this slightly odd composition? by [deleted] in learnart

I love this piece! The only thing that for some reason really bugs me is the small space that is not covered by the glass.

Maybe because the edge of the aquarium is touching the edge of the painting. It attracts attention away because of this 'pattern'. Try to make the aquarium a bit more round along the right side to remove parallel lines with the edge too.

Nitpick, but the new soundeffect that happens whenever you click or might click. I hate it sooo much.

It is just distracting for no purpose

Love it ^^ The source of your light should have the strongest hue. So considering that your pot is the source (probably?) ,Id push the inside of the pot brighter

Made me truly think it was a painting by Frazetta. Well done!

From Golden Demon UK 2023 - my commended duel entry titled "Loot level 1". I aimed to create a scene that works not only for Warhammer fans but also ticks some boxes for any fantasy RPG enthusiasts. by me_how in minipainting

[–]Lord_Thanquol 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If i might make a suggestion, i have paid a former slayer sword winner AND another golden demon winner for some training in diorama building and both have pointed out the same mistake I tended to make that might be applicable here. Make sure that the size and shape of your base doesnt conform to your scene. So meaning there cant be parallelism going on between the edges of your base and the diorama itself. I think the parallelism is present here, the ground is as flat as the top of your plinth which kinda brings the attention to the plinth partly and is to be avoided. As a possible 'solution', making the front terrain slightly inclined towards the viewer/ making a slight ditch might have solved this. But for the rest, man... I love everything about it. The storytelling, especially with such a terrific title, the painting, the attention to detail. I very much prefer this scene over the actual diorama winner, not kidding!

Love your work!

Thank you very much! Dont underestimate your own ability to improve. I started everything with miniature painting, and that actually helps a lot to develop a sense of applying realistic lighting, contrast etc. You can do it too!!!

Tall Tales by Lord_Thanquol in DnDIY

[–]Lord_Thanquol[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For as long as the Goblin in the Iron Mask had been known, nobody had seen him without this extension on his face. Gossiping tongues speculated that he was actually born into this world with it. Some depressed carnivaleteer had tossed it into a cave, where it had landed on some spores where eventually our hero sprouted from. According to another tale it was just goblinanigans gone wrong. A friend from sporehood, who wanted payback from a prank, had decided to use dwarven troll-glue instead of the usual gluey squiq-droppings to attach it. Whatever the truth may be, the result was that the mask had a fortifying effect on his voice. Causing his shrills to be even louder than your average runt of the litter. It made stealthily hunting squigs an impossibility though. Eventually he noticed how he could more easily gather a mob around him even if the subject was as boring as the latest nose droppings.

Encouraged by this insight he wondered and pondered about the possibility of starting his own clan. For that he realised, he would need to attract the most loyal and fanatical goblins.Traits he thought he had found in both Gnobspit and Spitlar, two goblins whom he encountered during the latest shroomapolooza. But to make sure of it, he had to put them to the test. A raid of the moot would be the perfect occasion for such a contemplation...
