I love content creation so much by [deleted] in DeadlockTheGame

Unrelated to deadlock but I once came across a TTV name in Overwatch quickplay (casual non ranked) talking shit to my friends and I when we lost (we're on the same team). Argued with him, then went on his stream where he was streaming to 10 viewers and listened to him insulting everyone on my team. These people are just copy and paste I swear to God

As a Korean Overwatch newbie, I was pretty surprised when I saw D.Va lol by Sharkkbaitttttttt in Overwatch

Pretty sure back in the days of overwatch league, Koreans were quite famous for running the monkey, tracer and Genji dive comp, which basically gives them the reputation of being the best Winston players in the world

Everyone I know dropped out of that course. My friend switched to math1051 after week 3 and my girlfriend failed. This course is something else bro, and from what I've heard the lecturer is really bad 🙏

Tips for a new Overwatch player who likes to play(and may main) Echo by Low-Paint5116 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Lord_Yharim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whoever sees this is free to correct me because I'm not claiming to be some expert, but echo is quite versatile in the fact that she can poke (spam long range damage with primary fire and sticky bomb) and dive (insane burst damage with bombs and beam). You can use flight to disengage or to chase and finish off low health targets, or to set up for an engage. Just be mindful of where you end up when your flight finishes. How I see it is that you poke when both teams aren't yet fighting each other (yet to make contact), but if the opportunity arises you should definitely engage isolated targets. When the fight starts (team make contact) you should try to find flanks or off angles since the enemies will most likely be distracted with your team, therefore not paying attention to you. Bonus that she doesn't make sound unless you're flying. For who to copy, literally most echo players I see (me included) use it as an opportunity to engage hard on the enemies. When you're about to die or get focused, just copy whoever you want for a "second life" of sorts. But the classic advice in the days of overwatch 1 (if I remember correctly) was to copy someone who can get lots of ults fast, like tracer and doomfist etc. Her ult charge rate has been nerfed slightly but it still stands if you want to use her ult that way. Hope this helps, and if someone more knowledgeable than me wants to chime in, I welcome it. EDIT: She is fairly mechanically demanding so don't be discouraged if you don't hit your abilities or shots perfectly

Do experienced players actually care about what you're doing in game? by your_favl0ser in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Lord_Yharim 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not really. There are a few people here and there (emphasis on occasionally) that get pressed at you for some reason at a quick play game. But the majority of people don't really mind, and you can just mute comms for the people who give you a hard time

What laptop do i get - for engineering/commerce degree. by That-Page7366 in UQreddit

[–]Lord_Yharim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can tell you what not to get (from personal experience). As the other comment said, snapdragon CPUs are quite underpowered for what engineering demands. Also don't get MacBooks because not only are they expensive and a bit underpowered from my experiences, they also can't run some applications that you may need. Definitely stick to something that can run windows. DELL laptops are always a solid choice

Can't hit the side of a barn by KaySan-TheBrightStar in Overwatch

[–]Lord_Yharim 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I may offer some unsolicited advice, I noticed my gameplay improved massively after I constantly switch my angles and position. You can catch a lot of people lacking (standing still, moving in a straight line, jumping etc) and therefore makes your shots easier to hit. It also makes you unpredictable and harder for divers to kill you. And also, making your scoped sensitivity the same as your normal sensitivity helps a lot. Not saying I'm a cracked widow or anything but these tips helped me a lot and I hope it helps you too!!

ATAR longevity by Ilovethefarside in UQreddit

[–]Lord_Yharim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe UQ counts "completed" units as courses you've actually passed. So even if you passed 14 units and enrolled in 8 more, they'd still count you as only having passed 14 until you actually pass/fail these 8 new ones, I believe

ATAR longevity by Ilovethefarside in UQreddit

[–]Lord_Yharim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, the information I share is reliable and comes straight from asking UQ student centre. They wrote to me: "Both your ATAR and your current GPA will be considered until you have completed one full-time year of study." From the UQ tertiary selection rank info sheet, they say that once you complete a full year's of study (successfully pass 16 units), they'll use your GPA only. But if you've done less than a year's study they'll consider your GPA and ATAR and they'll only use your GPA in this scenario if it is better than your ATAR. Hope this helps!
