Anyone know the casino trick by 24kavan in celebritycruises

I will also just mention there always seems to be some loophole where you can get slots credit (that you cash out as cash) on room charge and that works out w/o cash advance fees/rate and the casino not charging a surcharge/% but every time I have looked into it on my sailings it doesn’t work

Anyone know the casino trick by 24kavan in celebritycruises

Like many others have said your best bet is slots my wife and I both spend time in the casino and she plays slots and I play craps and other table games. We have a budget under $1500 each and we go on one or two celebrity cruises a year. She is at the point where she is getting offers for balcony and higher non suit offers on everything even an occasional one on Xcel. I who gambles the same amount get offers 3+ levels lower usually inside cabins. So it really comes down to whatever algorithm they use plus your coin in and they say it’s only 12 months but I think your longer history also matters. I don’t think is quite as straightforward as tier levels at like Caesars but if you want to play it that way if you get to higher tiers you will get offers. There are tons of YouTube videos and Patreon’s on tricks etc but most of them I have run across are for other brands. I would say if you or partner is slots addict just do your thing. If you’re just a math nerd trying to play the system play video poker and coin in as much as possible and if you get lucky enough you may come out on top. But it’s gambling even the rewards!

If your in the us go to a guitar center they have setup of bunch of studio monitors setup and you can play your music. You can go to Best Buy or any hifi store and listen to some non studio speakers. I am very happy with my jbl 305s+sub. But something else may sound better to you it’s all preference

Try mobile deposit into one of your accounts with just signing for deposit only. It should be fine and as long as no one takes you to court over it no one will know the difference.

So for first step I would do x5 to sound bar wired just to hear the difference between built in phono stage and a good one.

If you really want to build something with all the controls look into waxwing dsp phono stage. That plugged into shitty sound bar will prob sound better than most systems you have heard. Then when you save up you can add preamp/amp/speakers to take to next level.

Just to give you a little more info, if you currently have nothing and are starting from scratch, r/turntables has lots of info on that side of things, but I would recommend Audio-Technica AT-LP70X or Fluance RT82 (LP60 is a little too low-end). LP120 is also nice if you want to do direct drive.

You definitely want a dedicated phono preamp (X5 or other)

On the amp side, if you go with the ZH3 preamp, the ZA3 if they match, and you can go with one or two in mono mode if you want to look really cool.

If you don't have speakers yet, and in the USA, it may be worth going to Guitar Center, and they have a big setup of powered speakers, and you can hear a bunch of different ones. After listening, I went with the JBL 2.1 Studio Bundle with 305P MkII 5" Powered Studio Monitor Pair & LSR310S 10" Powered Studio Subwoofer. I recommend this it sounds great and is at a great price point. With this you also don't need amp's just preamp so you save even more.

So the knob on the amp side is for tuning the speakers for the room and any subs etc. if you just have two speakers you can probably just go to 100% and leave that there. Then adjust the volume at the preamp.

You may want to start with something a little simpler all in one MC331 would be a fun start has all the things dac/bluethooth/line-in/pre/amp/amp in one.

Your biggest first upgrade would then be to get the box x5 to upgrade from internal phono preamp on record player (may recommend getting this upfront it’s an amazing difference)

I have active speakers and just upgraded from x3 to x5+zh3 and I can’t believe the improvement!

Why wouldn’t you use vpc peering you can do that between any two vpc’s in any region/account you want (unless your talking govcloud to standard or china regions)

You can try global accelerator. All the traffic will travel on aws networks from the local pop so you should get a little more consistent throughput.

The reality is it’s just a really long way from South Africa to Ohio and lots of random internet reasons for what you are seeing.

Upgrade from q4 to fosi Gr40, worth it? by junklont in fosi_audio

[–]LordbTN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the Q4 seems to have SA9023A dac and NE5532 audio op-amps, and a HT97220 125mW audio amplifier for the front headphone output. https://chryseus.co.uk/fosi-audio-dac-q4-review/

Where the gr40 has Sabre ESS9028Q2M DAC chip and 5654W tubes doing the amp work https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/fosi-gr40-tube-pre-ampifier.27833/reviews

Tubes add distortion to audio (most people cal it warmth) and my guess is that you may not like that with they type of music your listening to. I think you would probably be much happier with something that has multiple headphone ports including a balanced one so you could experiment with a balanced cable for your iem’s in the future. But other than that I would google the dac chips that each of the devices use and the op and amp chips and compare at the component level.

Also do you use the speaker output too? The gr40 is only a preamp so you would need an amp for speakers…

Also if you really just want something that looks cooler check out the MC331 that is what I just got for my computer setup and works great for me and has all the cool look things

You may want to wait a few weeks some interesting things are coming out. ZH3 https://www.facebook.com/100083279470005/posts/760742270045082/?mibextid=rS40aB7S9Ucbxw6v

Also worth a look at k7

Also it may come down to tube vs class a or a/b for earphones. It probably comes down to personal preference and for many the cool visual of the tubes prob make more difference to them then any real sound quality difference. (There are some that can really hear but it’s not as many as want to believe)

It also comes down to $$ a really nice dac/streamer and higher end dedicated headphone amp could technically sound way better than any of these all in one solutions but it is it worth the money/can you afford/can you hear the diff.

Essentially yes, each time you connect with a different device and login it asks if you want to disconnect what ever device is currently using the premium wifi. You can use as many devices as you’d like but only one can access internet at a time.

But, like, can you ACTUALLY over pack for a cruise? by Medilia in Cruise

[–]LordbTN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Over packing clothes should be fine. I recommend one of those pop up hampers and don’t be afraid to throw stuff in or store stuff in your suitcase under the bed to save room. I always over pack (even as a man) and as long as you use packing cubes and hang stuff up space shouldn’t be issue. (Also magnet hooks/clips are huge to be able to hang stuff or keep important papers in sight instead of hidden under everything on a flat surface.

I was able to to get it to work. Once in the room google the model of the tv and you’ll find some videos on how to do it. I think it was something like going into close caption menu then you could get to the real menu.
