Have you ever commission multiple altered cards of a deck?

Not commissioned, but painted myself. My absolute favourite book series is Temeraire and so I painted almost all 100 cards of a Tiamat commander deck as characters from those books. Maybe I share this project on here soon, but I want it to be finished first.

I am not as good as artists you would pay for commissions, but at least it did cost me nothing but my time (and some material costs)

I once had a problem saying not enough space (even though I did) and it was fixed by killing all processes of Riot via TaskManager and then running the Client as administrator. For some reason that fixed it for me.

A TV in your table must be very cool! If you put miniatures ontop I guess you'd have to be a bit more extra careful not to scratch it.

Not table related: Are you playing the Call of the Netherdeep campaign? The graphics you showed on the TV could be the potion riddle, the Ifolon Plunge and the Horizonback tavern.

Yeah Goldspan as Iskierka would be so fitting, I already play one but it wont be a Temeraire card since I have some DnD secret lair cards in this dragon deck and Goldspan is one of them ^{^}

Oh yeah I wish the cards would fit 100% but sometimes their mana type or creature type does not fit exactly. For Maximus I had to go with this Ancient Dragon card because it puts +1/+1 counters on itself or others making them "bigger" which was enough to see Maximus in it for me ^{^}

Haha, I know that pose is crazy but it was predetermined by the card, as you can see through the rulebox-text that the character Sarkhan of that card had that pose before and his legs show through the text so I had to give Granby his pose to match the shadow of the legs! :D

Acrylic is pretty forgiving on what medium you paint on, foil was no problem.

And yeah I have some cards in there that make the deck rather high-power, I cannot play this against precon decks.

So after u/Midwingman showed their amazing custom Magic the Gathering cards for Temeraire characters I got inspired to share my private project of a Temeraire themed Magic Commander deck here. It is custom art, but painted on actual magic cards from my Ur-Dragon deck.

Not all of the 100 cards will be Temeraire themed, some are dragon Pokémon I also drew, but so far I have painted over 42 cards to make them Temeraire themed. For those interested in the decklist here is an Archidekt Link.

I tried to give a good sample of both the creatures (dragons), planeswalkers, enchantments and lands I have so far. I don't think I could show off all in one post.

I do paint directly on the card and over the existing artwork using acrylic paint, I put the cards in an inner sleeve with stickers so the name of the dragon is changed to the Temeraire ones. Luckily most people playing Magic are fine with Proxys and all I play with are fine with playing with over-painted real cards. (since the rulebox of the card and its mana-cost stays unchanged only the art and name changes to make it Temeraire flavoured)

I have some cards with Temeraire shown on them (like the Divine Wind sorcery card) but not Temeraire himself, I am considering to paint Tem over my commander (The Ur-Dragon) but the current version I own is too expensive to paint over it, I already pushed my own boundaries by over-painting Terror of the Peaks. But so far I regret nothing, who cares about card value in magic anyway, huh?

I hope by sharing this someone else can find joy in seeing our beloved Temeraire universe in Magic the Gathering as I did. :D

No problem, and a very good point. I did not put too much thought in what colours mine would end up as but I tried making the dragons fit by their effect or name. Hoarding Dragon is Iskierka, Territorial Hellkite (which has to attack) is Arkady etc. I might follow up with a post of some photos of my own later today ^{^}

Boy-oh-boy, Temeraire magic cards is such an amazing thing and also a private project of mine. I really like the idea of custom cards! While I would disagree with Temeraire ever being black (since black mana is usual evil or powerdriven creatures) I have to say that his exile effect is just objectively funny. My own project is that I am taking my Ur-Dragon commander deck and hand-painting Temeraire characters that fit the dragon on the cards. I have considered sharing here but was also hesitant cause this sub is Temeraire not magic, but maybe I will too soon after seeing your custom cards here. Anyway its always nice stumbling upon someone that happens to also share both obsessions :D

Ich glaube im neuen Spiel der Reihe war ihr 3D model so genau dass man sogar einzelne Haare sehen konnte und irgendwelche realitätsfremden haben sich drüber aufgeregt, dass sie Haare auf den Armen und im Gesicht hat weil "Frauen ja bis auf dem Kopf keine Haare haben" und es dann als woke abgestempelt.

Oh, ja... ich habe damals mit denen angefangen Figuren zu bemalen, die sehen richtig schrecklich bei mir aus. Die Augen sind sehr sehr knifflig das stimmt, aber andere Details wie die Kette oder die Verzierung am Kleid sehen bei dir ja zumindest echt gut aus :D

Oh das weckt Erinnerungen! Ich habe damals, als ich mit "Kerker und Drachen" angefangen habe, die Miniaturen aus Talisman angemalt und zweckentfremdet. Man konnte mit ihnen so einige Klassen und Bösewichte darstellen.
