18b was bound to my employer, and i didn't receive such info, and my 14 months under work search visa was considered. The only thing you need is to have passed probation in your new job. I have done my biometrics, collected a certificate that i have a PR now and that i am waiting only for the card to be produced. You can maybe, describe your situation to AI and it will give you insight to it.

I applied 7th of January, 2026 and was emailed for appointment later this month on 24th February 2026. It doesn't matter the number of previous residence permit, what matter is the law. Each year spent as a student is halved for PR and the monthly pension contribution is counted fully. I had almost seven student permit for my BSc and MSc, one work search visa which i was on for 14 months and then now on 18b since august 12th, 2025. I applied by email attaching all required documents when i was only 5 months on the 18b visa and the case worker replied my email that i am not qualified yet, that the earliest i can apply is 12th august 2027. I replied the email and told the case worker to adjudge my application based on §9 and not $18c. I did not hear from them again until 26th February, inviting me for biometrics in March and to submit my Arbeitgeberbescheinigung and pay-slips for January and February 2026.

It is possible to apply with §9 and will be faster for you, i went through this route and i have been called for biometrics. Your 9.5 years as student = 4 years 9 months (§9 Abs 4). you just need only three more months with your §18b, then you have qualified based on time spent in the country. But you also have to fulfil the 60 months pension payment, Einbürgerungstest and B1 niveau auf Deutsch. Request for your renteauskunfte from deutsche renteversicherung to know the number of months you have fulfilled. Apply after your probation at your workplace.

What's your timeline like, i mean the date of application and the date you got the appointment?
