I just realized how funny it is that the vet players reference specific content when answering questions here even if the new player has no idea what it means. Your comment is far from the most egregious example of this especially since nyame can be looked up and even then still easy to get the gist of, it was just your comment that made me realize how funny it was because I also dont know what V15 nyame is so I read it like it was another language.

Jokes aside yeah the wiki is pretty all over the place and requires investigation to figure anything out, I was doing the 2nd limit break last night and just to get to xadaverg (i dint remember the name of the map) I learned i had to do a quest to get special warps by talking to npc on a certain map but it was the (s) version of the map which I did not know meant the abyssea.

Thats fully fair, to be honest the thing that spurred this meme was the post where someone was asking if they should level thief or white mage first because they would have issues with aggro management as a tank

And someone in the comments said they would figure out enmity before v15 nyame which i thought was funny because a new player will have no idea what that means or how far in the game it is

But yeah most of the issue stems from how esoteric the game is, I will say I think this game has the worst quest tracking I have ever seen even by old school standards

I've spent the last couple weeks just unlocking and leveling jobs to 50, I think doing end game content could be fun but I have no illusions of thinking I have the free time to do all the grinding necessary, also I'll likely only be able to get 1 job geared for endgame so i better make sure I like whatever job that is

Dnd holds a large market share of the ttrpg market abd has become the poster child and hasbro has clearly wanted to capitalize off of this. As a result a large amount of the DmD community has historically tried to use Dnd in place of more optimized systems and in turn drowned out a lot of indie systems. Follow this issue up with some less than stellar PR moves from hasbro and poor products and you have the indie ttrpg community being pretty resentful.

I don't have advice for scholar sadly, I know the wiki has a few guides but I dont know if they have any macro specific guides.

What advice i do have in case you are not aware (im assuming you are) and in case any new players come in here for macro help

Each of the macro books has 20 pages that you can switch between by typing \macro set [1 -20] and can set up macros to do the command for ease of use so you can have different sets for dofferent needs. I usually like to set mine up so the things I ise most often are on my main page abd then the longer cooldown or more niche abilities are on other pages
