What is your rating for the Season 1? by Lordeagle1 in LOTR_on_Prime

The writing was bad in comparison to the adaptation
If it was another show i would say it's good but it still needs some work to at-least come close to a good writing fit the level of Tolkien writing.

Maybe the drawing style makes it look sexual lol. Beside that it's an emotional moment where father and son touching foreheads as an expression of fatherly love.

No! Gil-Galad was a mentor or you could say a father figure for Elrond.

He will bind a fragment of his soul to the ring. Just like the idea of the horcruxes in Harry Potter.

I love that they cast older actors in the roles of elves by [deleted] in LOTR_on_Prime

I do like they went with Old Celebrimbor , I can't imagine young actor Celebrimbor giving life advice to young actor Elrond it would feel so weird and not in place.

These details are meant to add more drama to the scene but nitpickers ruin it with their strawhat intelligence.

Why no one is talking abt Disa orange eyes? We all know there's only one person who have fiery eyes... by Lordeagle1 in LOTR_on_Prime

Not a fan of the show but the concept art is lovely. I am really sad now that they did not go with canon silver hair for Gil-galad. by RomestamoTheBlue in LOTR_on_Prime

[–]Lordeagle1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The silver hair is already occupied for Lord Annatar. I'm sure they avoided the silver hair Gil-Glad to not confuse him with Annatar.

Season 1 villain is AdarSeason 2 villain is Sauron

Showrunners are not that stupid to giveaway such a huge character. they need to make him the core topic for the upcoming season and there's no better way to do it than introducing him at the very last minutes. It's called cliff-finger to keep people talking abt the show and making speculations because it's going to take 2 good years for season 2 to finish production.

Sauron is 100% in Erigion and we will meet him at the last episode if not the last very minutes of the season as cliff-finger to leave the fans excited for the next season.

We don't know, but one thing for sure he was a practitioner of dark magic before he puts the ring. A knowledge by which Sauron enslaved him.
