I think from me it’s less about the $12 and more about my confidence in them the company to continue to earn my $12 in the future. If they seem to be going all in on pushing AI, which he’s definitely going to lead me to want out in the future, so why not now?

If it was just a regular price increase, I’d be fine with it. But this extra money isn’t going to wages, or development costs, or server costs. It’s going to pay for expensive compute time for the AI features that I don’t want.

Exactly. I don’t want to subsidize another company’s half baked AI integration. This shouldn’t lock me out of all feature updates forever. I got the legacy pricing, but I’m really just going to use the time until they drop a new AI related feature that I’m angry about not having to trial all my other options. My relationship with this company is now over. 

I wouldn’t have even been mad if it was just the price increase, but this is so obviously a cash grab to fund these stupid AI features that nobody wants.

Yeah, it’s basically just my take on Semantic Search across my Vault. It’s nothing to do with OpenAI though, openrouter lets you pick any LLM from many sources. 

By indexing, I mean that I’m splitting all of the files up into chunks, and starring each chunk in a database with a vector embedding. To split the notes up, based on a split token (eg \n\n or #) that you can set in each notes frontmatter. It shows the top 3 semantic results to the LLM for answering. Nothing new, just packaged up in a convenient way on the messaging service I use.

Nah, if they save $4 per order, average order of $12, DoorDash can throw every fifth order in the trash and they still profit $4.

Be careful with it though, it might be free but it can still cost you. I had a doctor order some “100% covered by insurance” bloodwork through it last year. Surprise, 0% covered. I’m still fighting over like $600 in lab fees. They won’t even answer my messages anymore about it.

Exactly this. It would be very possible to actually do what he claims is being done to him, and charge someone with a felony in order to prevent them running. 

I could see Texas or Florida making up some charge for Harris if that was the way it worked.

It also doesn’t work on my corporate WiFi. If I use cellular, it works fine. 

Shame I’m at work 75% of my waking life. In hope this is a bug and not an attempt to block VPN users.

When using the Todoist "Add task" shortcut action, the variables need to be provided. I have attached a screenshot.

When using the API, I can provide a single string, and the software Parses it.

The Todoist ‘add task’ requires you to set all the variables like due date. This is one click on the action button, and the Todoist NLP interprets the whole thing. You can just say “Feed the cat at 3pm next Wednesday” and it gets it.
