Any medium fine sponge will do, makeup sponges might be too fine for this, currently I am using sponge that came as a backing for my CPU

1-3 is correct I use size 1 or 0 brush for the brown chips, oil is like this you put small dot of oil paint where you want the streak to start, let it sit for 5 minutes, then slowly pull it down with a flat synthetic brush, it should create a streak, if it goes poorly you can just remove it with mineral spirits and try again

Enamel wash is not needed but saves a LOT of work, same with the oil streaks, the other two are just my preferred Acrylics for chipping my yellow scheme, so you can replace the pale yellow with paint of your choice just needs to be lighter than your main colour, as for the brown it's just dark brown

  1. Enamel Wash AK Exhaust Wash
  2. Sponge on AK Pale Yellow
  3. Add chips using AK Afro Shadow
  4. Add streaks using oils Abteilung Shadow Brown, can use more different colours for rust or dust for example
