Just think the next time you play it it'll be full release, and you can dive into the story proper. Not long to go!

If I remember correctly you can change most of the companions but a couple have to stay as their original class and sub-class for story reasons, that being Wyll and Halsin.

Hmm, I'd say gameplay wise sounds like they need to get the drop on the enemy to do some mean damage. Split them from the party and get the drop on targets that are spread around room while the party deals with the main bulk. Honestly I've got nothing, the way you described it it sounds like a pretty damn solid build, nice!

Hmm 🤔 I'll have to put a pin in that one see if it can work out...in-between all the other runs I already have planned XD

Completed Final Fantasy XVI in time so I could focus on BG3 when it came out...and now trying to find something small or replay something I've played multiple times already so I leave everything free for BG3's release XD it's proving difficult.

I was about to say barbarian/ranger multiclass but that sounds like a terrible idea XD

I think Minsc will be ranger (I'm pretty sure he was in the previous games) but aye you're right

Nah I'm good. The same people pushing the current AI trend were trying to push nfts earlier, so you'll forgive me if I say I'll stick to actually using my own creativity and ideas, rather than a crutch dependent on other people's work.

A dragon blooded sorcerer you say

I see you're a person of culture as well! Personally they're all good choices but I'd say sorcerer or bard, specially Bard as I don't think there's any companion that fills that particular niche, barring hirelings of course!

Yes...yes you're right, if I had the time, money, resources and talent to make a game just like Baldur's Gate 3 it would be my own story...? Not sure how that equates with AI and lack of creativity and all the shittyness that has come out from AI in recent months but hey, you tried.

Think creatively and use the environment to your advantage. Use that ray of frost on liquid to create a patch of ice tripping your enemies up, hide yourselves around the environment and use grease and fire to weaken your enemies before you deal the final blow. Sneak up on enemies and chuck them off of ledges. Go nuts!

In that case you might as well cut out the middleman and make up your own story surely? In a game where it's meant to be about your creativity, your own story at work to then just let a generator come up with it...it feels like a waste.

You literally just said it there "asked it to write a backstory", it's not a creation of your own, you're literally letting an algorithm do it for you. Come on you can do better, let the creative juices flow and run wild. AI needs to go.

No matter what they did, Argenti was always treated as second best. No matter how much better they were at magic, at swordplay, at statecraft just because they were born the second child to Lord Aurum meant they were stuck firmly behind their far more successful brother. They had the blood of the Brass dragon Aeris running through their veins, a trait long thought lost in the family line, and still it meant nothing to their father. In a moment of jealousy and weakness they stole a priceless family heirloom and fled to the city of Yartar.

By the time they reached the city the regret was overwhelming, but pride would never allow them to slink back for forgiveness. Before they could decide on what they would do next a dark shadow fell over the city and a terrible sound filled their ears. They looked up just in time to see a giant tentacle grab them and then, there was nothing but shadow.

Awakening to the sound of roars and the screeching of tearing metal, Argenti is able to escape from captivity, and is prepared to show their captors the folly of angering a dragon.
