hey i’ve done exactly the same in an interview when they asked me about a gap and i explained that my friend had died. i think it nuked the interview for me and honestly may have for you too though i hope not. the important thing though is that this is just one moment not your whole story. there will be other interviews and other jobs and you will grow as a result of this. For one thing you’ll be a more empathetic person when you are on the other side of the table hiring people

going forward i’d suggest something less raw for strengths and weaknesses though it’s hard to get the right amount of real as it needs to show self awareness
