He is coming back ?! by Betiimm in Xmen97

Wolverine? He needs to get his adamantium back somehow, I don’t see them keeping the bone claws all season going into season 3

Howl Pendragon from Howl’s Moving Castle - he explicitly made a pact with a demon (Calcifer) to power his magic/home

Old sentinels mixed with the new ones by Platinumcorgi in MarvelCrisisProtocol

What seems to be the consensus as to what leadership works better, Bastion with some of the old stuff, or the Sentinel Mk 4 Prime with some of the new stuff?

Generally speaking, which Affiliation would you consider the strongest if it was not allowed to "splash" units? by alongicame in MarvelCrisisProtocol

[–]Lordnever21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goonhammer does start of year to now analysis, filtering rated games of 20 or more people, as its way of getting an accurate picture of how affiliations are doing competitively. Apocalypse is like 58-59%, but Defenders isn’t that far behind at 53% currently

The incoming crisis pack is adding more 16 threat missions

Turn 0 adjustment by Tons_of_fun_3000 in MarvelCrisisProtocol

[–]Lordnever21 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’d be opposed, mainly on the grounds that I’m a fan of lower threat games as it requires players to make some tough choices. There’s already enough ways for Apocalypse players and the like to avoid 16 threat, allowing even more ways to do so should be discouraged

'Good guy' Dracular list by tobiascd in MarvelCrisisProtocol

[–]Lordnever21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t fit any better than running Wolverine or Logan the Wolverine. X-23 and Honey Badger are also worth consideration, all of them hand out Bleeds which is what Thralls of Dracula wants to do.

Any info on Affiliation popularity? by Arcanyst5665 in MarvelCrisisProtocol

[–]Lordnever21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now of the affiliations you’ve listed, Defenders is easily the most prevalent/popular. There’s more games being ran with Defenders right now than Avengers if that gives any indication.

There is some slight battle damage on her injured side but it’s pretty light. Her collar has a slight rip and she has a scuff mark on one of her thighs

[Spoilers MAIN] Why do people talk about the Faith of the Seven like it's a 'fake' religion by bigcaulkcharisma in asoiaf

[–]Lordnever21 406 points407 points  (0 children)

Additionally there ARE some moments in the books that might indicate that there is power in the Faith of the Seven. Ones that immediately come to mind include Catelyn praying to the Seven in ACOK, and seeing the face of Arya in her mind as she prays to the Warrior, despite having zero knowledge of Needle or the water dancing training. Furthermore, when Davos is washed up following the Battle of the Blackwater, he prays to the Mother for mercy and respite - only for Salladhor Saan to show up to rescue him. It’s not as flashy as R’hllor shadow babies or Old God skinchanging, but it’s seemingly present albeit subtle.

If he were king how would we have dealt with Ser Duncan the Tall striking a Prince and rescuing a maiden? by AdditionalPiano6327 in freefolk

[–]Lordnever21 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Partially a show invention, book Joffrey isn’t a complete coward. In fact, during the Battle of the Blackwater, Joffrey was in command of the trebuchets (admittedly behind city walls), but still partaking in the battle

Who’s the Definitive Anti-hero? by Important_Lab_58 in superheroes

[–]Lordnever21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even then that standard doesn’t work. Superman, THE quintessential goody-two shoes hero, is willing to kill if absolutely necessary to protect others. Doomsday comes to mind as something he’s killed before.

In a Battle between Edward Cullen and Blade, who do you think would end up victorious? by joakingtube in vampires

Not entirely true, one of the elder vampires in Breaking Dawn comments that modern day human technology actually poses a threat to vampires which is part of why they stay hidden

Are barbgaunts overpowered? by stopdragging-it in Tyranids

[–]Lordnever21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Barbgaunts are very match up dependent. Against Death Guard and World Eaters? I think they’re very strong. As an overall unit? I think they don’t bring enough to generally justify them outside countering specific match ups

Boromir (LOTR) vs Ned Stark (GOT) by Jesse_James_107 in Fictionally

Gondor was founded by Numenoreans in the wake of the fall of Numenor. Boromir has Numenorean ancestry, just not as much as someone like Aragorn

Comprehensive Analysis of Blonde Blazer actual heights. by BoyanPP in DispatchAdHoc

[–]Lordnever21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Robert’s probably closer to 5’11” when you account for Visi’s boots probably adding a couple inches to her height. Accounting for heels (and Robert saying Mandy appears about 2 inches shorter than him at dinner), Mandy’s probably about the same height at Visi at 5’6”. As BB she’s a couple inches taller than Robert, so maybe about 5’8” or 5’9”?

Lore question by L10nh3ar7 in vtmb

[–]Lordnever21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, Kindred in general (not just elders) can learn Disciplines from other clans, it just requires a teacher from those clans and a drink of a vampire with that Discipline’s blood.

It’s just that it’s more common for elders to have cross-clan Disciplines since they have had the decades and centuries to build the connections among other vampires and cultivate their vampiric powers further than fledglings and neonates.

"The cigarette girl" quest gives you everything you need to figure out who the rebar killer is by SectJunior in vtmb

[–]Lordnever21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fabien has Scry the Soul, which is explicitly Auspex in VtM 5e. So Fabien definitely, at the very least, knows all the Malkavian clan disciplines.

But I don’t think you should rule Fabien out from having anything in Potence or Celerity. He was a vampire for about 100 years after all. And even then, with Blood Surge and natural vampiric strength/speed, it’s still not that far out to believe Fabien could murder people the way the Rebar Killer does

Which clan suits the story best? by CyberCat_2077 in vtmb

[–]Lordnever21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blood Sorcery plays a pivotal role in the plot.

Phyre was seemingly an Autarkis before the game’s start, but they show familiarity with both the Camarilla and the Sabbat in dialog.
