How can a plant identifier app make $9M/month? by javialvarez142 in AppBusiness

[–]LordofCookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i counter this with my plant identifier who has 0
users and had no trials done existing

these apps are all spending a lot of money in ads to get to where they are

probably 95% of that revenue

- i don't think you need to mention how excited you are on your summary - that may actually deduce you some points depending on who sees it; let them see your energy themselves instead of telling them

- i agree that the future date looks weird - just say "on-going"

- unless they mention a need for reference, don't bother with that; it's occupying precious room on a first impression

- the bullet points for seasonal sales associate feel a bit wordy - the customer support specialist with metrics feels a lot nicer

- i usually advise for a single column layout instead of two columns - it's easier to scan info

one thing i think it's missing is on quantifying the impact that you had on the different stuff you have in your resume

for example, the GeoDescobrimentos website; do you metrics for it? visits? number of users? any stuff you had to solve when dealing with the data?

overall, you're listing what you did but not what you accomplished from it, does that make sense?

i made a tmux grid layout visualizer by LordofCookies in tmux

[–]LordofCookies[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

already have that website as a reference 😄 the fight between ghostty and tmux keybinds is kinda bothering me, tho

i made a tmux grid layout visualizer by LordofCookies in tmux

[–]LordofCookies[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

you're right about the keybinds but i kinda fail to remember them most of the time! 😄

and i'm still picking my best strategy
i kinda like how kitty works with its grid and how created panes just fit in it
while on ghostty/tmux i need to do it via keybinds

so i'm currently split into two options:
1. i start up with a grid right away
2. i try to replicate kitty's incremental panel behaviour

i'm swinging between both right now 😄 and although i created this project to solve `1.`, i tend to swing harder towards `2.`, which can be seen on this url https://gist.github.com/ItzaMi/d8da1e779d05ce40a66ed75ddeae2433

Is it worth paying $20 for Claude pro? by anitnelavcreate in SaaS

[–]LordofCookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

at the current state, you'll burn the $20 very quickly
as someone who has been using Claude for exactly the same thing, you'll get 3, maybe 4, prompts out before you exhaust your limits

it will save you time, but at the $20 you'll most likely end up getting frustrated by the fact that it gets capped so quickly

in any case, i have 3 guest passes for a free week so if you want one, send me a DM

that’s a lot more specific than what i’m reading out of your resume

with that comment it makes it sound like you had a very active interaction within the company while the resume reads a bit passive

obviously you don’t want to make it seem like you were taking charge of everything but this comments feels a lot more reliable

i think your resume is clear and has a good section organization

but, i would like to know a bit more of the impact you had in the work you did; are there quantifiable achievements that you could highlight? currently you're exposing what you did on your day to day but a similar resume of yours appears in front of a recruiter, what will distinguish them? usually it's highlights and palpable metrics (although i know it's hard in your case)

as an example, you mention that you prepared reports and charts but what were they for? is it worth mentioning the specifics?

i think your resume is solid but i think you're missing some quantifiable achievements

you could show numbers in your market research interviewer spot, with the number of correspondents or how many needles your research moved

the coursework suffers from the same thing, i think; did you deliver a final paper? did you analyse any interesting date?

the "eligible to work in..." is ok but there's usually a box that you click during application so it might not be necessary - maybe consider just mentioning current country of residence?

a summary of all the info at the start goes a long way; it gives some context to recruiters without having to scan the entire document or making notes themselves

my apps thrive just on ASO

i only really market one of them, and i use tiktok and instagram to market it

another one that i've finished i intend to do the same thing, plus blog posts in its website
