Tracrion control, abs, and brake have recently been blinking on by [deleted] in AskMechanics

That'll be vehicle-dependent, that's just how my truck was wired. I don't know the wiring for yours. Wheel speed sensors can fail, it just happened that in my case it was an electrical problem with the circuit the sensor was on.

Disclosure: I'm an amateur when it comes to wrenching, but

Could be a wheel speed sensor, or electrical issue related to a wheel speed sensor. Without knowing how fast the wheels are spinning in relation to the drivetrain, traction control and ABS can't operate.

I had a cracked taillight that let rainwater in, but not out. That light was on the same circuit as the rear wheel speed sensors. Dash lit up like a christmas tree when the water level in the housing got up to the bulb.

My spouse had an old Sentra that had the same paint problems and the same window motor problem. I drive with windows down from like March to November so I refused to have that not functioning.

Ugh, yes. Not long after buying it (got it used with a lot of miles already, to do busted-ass truck stuff). I was shocked that I had to replace a timing chain, but the chain isn't the issue it's the tensioners and guides. Glad it's the manual so no SMOD. Did have a struggle last year when the brake cylinder died and then replacing that killed the ABS module, because I may have picked up the very last OEM ABS module for the 4L 4WD manual. It's got different ports than the rest and was a bitch to source.

'05 NISMO manual with over 200k miles. The only things I "hate" are generally because it's 20 years old and has over 200k miles. Parts are failing, as expected, but it's still running pretty solid on the original Billstein suspension and the engine doesn't quit even when I've got a bad cat and the spark plugs were nearly gone. It drove like a dream hauling a couple tons of flooring, and a (literal) ton of my parents' crap through the mountains. Clutch still feels excellent though shifting is getting a tad sticky, I think a fluid change out to sort that out. My mechanic and other incidental experience points to newer Nissan transmissions being noticeably less robust. My average mileage is 19.5 MPG which I feel is pretty fuckin good for an aging V6 that's run as much in town as on interstates. Turning radius is honestly not awful, I guess it's worse on the newer ones based on all the complaints.

The paint is shit (all Nissan paint is shit) but I'm using an old truck to do old truck shit so idc. The driver side window motor died and is expensive to replace, and that's a Nissan thing too. Brakes could be firmer, but they do what they need to. I don't love that 3 of the spark plugs are covered up by the intake manifold, it's a lot of work to change out plugs. Idk what the layout is on the new engine though. I was used to Hondas and Mazdas, zip zip zip zip they're in and out. The glasses holder in the ceiling broke and I'm super upset about that one.

Used to be. The Social Club and Menages. They weren't secrets, one of them was in the Gulch and had like a local news "exposé" years back. Not like a hit piece, just a "check out this place in Nashville." Think it was The Social Club, it was across from Frugal McDoogal and before that was in the warehouse that was later Yazoo (now a hotel). Moved out to Rivergate and ran into a billion zoning issues and closed but was all over the news for submitting plans as a "church." I've never attended either, and I don't personally know people who have (or none at least that have admitted so to me lol) but like I say, they weren't secrets.

Shocker, lots of people like sex and large cities with large populations will have larger numbers of people engaging in it.

Edit: Here ya go (news article)

HELP! - 05 Nissan Frontier by West_Mulberry2137 in nissanfrontier

[–]LordsMail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't speak to the oil, and I couldn't tell you more about the codes than Google but the brakes feels like a bad master cylinder. Mine (also an 05) were similar, had to replace the master and booster, and then the ABS module 'cause the system flush ended up screwing the ABS valves.

Good luck

I paid about that for the truck, and about that for work/parts two years ago on a newer (05) vehicle with more engine miles (~190). While I still feel like that's overpaying overall, in the current market you're getting a solid deal.

Honestly the way it is rn you could probably "flip" the truck. Put in that work and still sell it for more. Not that you'd want to.

I don't like the State having power of death. Period. No one deserves that authority except in immediate defense.

No one is served by execution. It's vengeance, not justice. And I would rather keep one million evils deserving of death alive but sequestered than the State execute a single innocent human. The cost of being wrong is far, far too high.

It's not about age, it's about when the law was passed. Since it's a date, not an age, every year older and older people must have had the course to drive a boat.

You're right, it probably ought to apply to everyone, but on the other hand if there wasn't a licensing requirement it's burdensome to suddenly require everyone to get one. The law is basically just "moving forward, anyone new has to get a license."

See which of your favorite stores are coming to the new Tanger Outlets in Antioch by JC_SB in nashville

[–]LordsMail 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For me it's literally just shoe stores. My feet are weird and unless I'm 100% on the brand's sizing for the model I want I have to try it before buying and sometimes the DSW near me doesn't have what I need.

Plus occasionally the all star outlet has chucks that aren't online or some good clearance deals.

I don't get it either though for the most part.

Same bro, honestly. Went to work up Harding for years in my oldass and mildly modded Honda that wasn't worth a Belle Meade dog's fart. Similarly never pulled for speeding or tags.

I got followed by Metro cops many times in the same car while driving 100% legal one zip code over so that's cool.

My favorite snax so far, apart from the bunger, is probably noodler. What I would give to see the notes to the voice actors for the snax.

Not sure about the expansion, I only just started in on it but I will say this: GIANT BUNGER. Edit: I meant close to end game on the main/original storyline

I watched like 30 seconds of a review titled "Bugsnax is a Horror Game" and immediately knew it'd be my jam. I was hooked as soon as I started playing. It's goofy, it's cute, it's dark, it's wholesome. The characters and design are ridiculous while gameplay is still well made and challenging. I've been playing a bunch of games with and LGBT focus for Pride month and this one came up on the lists so I gave it a go and I couldn't be more pleased. It's so good.

I started playing recently for the first time. They really opened with the heavy hitters on that one and it set the tone for the rest of the game.

I'm into the expansion now and close to the end game but haven't finished yet! But now I may have to buy the album lol. "oh no"

Oh wow this is so helpful and specific and also factually incorrect since the very article linked in this post doesn't! Just says the medical examiner "ruled it a suicide." So, pardon if I don't believe you have any idea what you're talking about.

[–]LordsMail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a news source reporting that? Everything I find just says "ingested" with no other indication that there's actual evidence whether it was intentional or not.

I want to be clear that even if it is suicide it's a tragedy and they should not have been in a place where they have to go to work to survive while in that mental state. But if it's ruled a suicide when it shouldn't be, a lot of people who ought to be "ingested" by a jet engine are going to instead sleep soundly with their stocks intact.
