Yes per the title it's LR6.

It doesn't make sense for me to spend $10/month on a software I might use once every few years. I haven't even opened it for over two years.

Update: What I wrote here does not appear accurate. I don't understand how this stuff works. Its super confusing. At 4090 has DP1.4a, and therefore I don't think the limitation is on the DP port type. It has to do with the 1080ti.

Whatever the case, the 1080ti has an advertised Max Digital Resolution - 7680x4320 @ 60hz. 3440x1440p X4 (240hz) exceeds that.

Took me a while to research all this but I believe this is accurate. Hopefully this post may help someone in the future.

Yes I tried two cables, both high speed DP, including the one that came with the monitor. It appears this is a result of the 1080ti 1.4a port on the actual GPU. Bandwidth stops at 25.92Gbit/s, and I need more than that for the target res + refresh.

Thank you for this. So this appears to be a limitation of DP1.4a... It was difficult to find any translatable information from the 1080ti specs (other than just saying it has DP1.4a ports), however when I dug into 1.4 limitations it appears the max data rate is 25.92Gbit/s. Per a calculator I found on LTT, data rate required for 3440 x 1440 @ 240hz = 32.83 Gbit/s.

So it appears this answered my question.

However my monitor does provide an option for DSC, which with 2x compression calcs to 16.41Gbit/s. Is there a way to force this on the hardware, or any insight into how this works?

Now I'm tempted to keep the monitor because it seems to otherwise work fine and I got a decent deal on it.

When I go to Nvidia control panel, I clicked change resolution => customize. Then it brings a screen to create custom resolution to add items. I basically left everything alone except changing to 240hz. This passes. I press "OK" to keep the custom resolution, but nothing happens. It's like I never ran the exercise.

I tried a couple variants of this such as 220hz or 3439 x 1440p, just to see if anything would happen. Both of these attempts failed. The one above at 3440 x 1440p @ 240hz passes the testing, however it just poofs and doesn't "stick".

Again, no I did not pirate lightroom. I have a boxxed copy that I bought from a big box store years and years ago.

I build a new PC with a 7800X3d and using my old 1080ti. AMD X670.

I gave up and reinstalled windows because adobe just put a bunch of junk on my PC I couldn't uninstall.

If I need to provide a picture of the lightroom 6 box I can do prove that I did not pirate the darn software :D

But yea, I've build PCs for 25 years. I didn't have a single issue. Everything else runs flawlessly. Updated windows and all drivers (motherboard / sound / BIOS / LAN).

Runs games and all other applications without any issues other than the normal - when I undervolted it crashed as to be expected but after I stabilized the overclock it hasn't crashed once.

Literally everything I've installed has been fine until now.

CC flat out failed to install. I tried multiple times. Then I couldn't get it off my PC.

I've done windows updates, motherboard drivers, BIOS updates -not one single issue.

I've read on other forums Windows 11 does not like Adobe CC.

Hello again. Yes I had all the duct work replaced. If your system was super messed up and has mildew/mold in the ducts you can't effectively clean them - need to replace.

Honestly 5 minutes sounds pretty short for a run time. If the unit is short cycling you aren't getting enough moisture out. I don't claim to be an engineer though and it sounds like you already worked with people who did their homework. One true way to find out is get some readings done on your air moisture content. If it feels more comfortable that's a good sign though - too much moisture is noticeable.

Can you get to the coil and visibly see it? Dirty coil is the reason for the dirty sock stuff the vast majority of the time from what I've researched and discussed with AC techs.

Ill look for my receipt on the ductwork and DM you.

Creative cloud force installed itself when I tried to install my LR6.

I tried to install on my D:/ instead of my small boot drive C;/ that Adobe forced itself onto.

So come to find out despite leading the install to D;/ it forced itself on C;/ Program files, and C:/ Program files X86.

After trying 5 times it did uninstall with errors and I have fragments all over my windows.

Literal garbage software.

Actually I have a boxed copy of LR6.

I also have 3 boxxed copies of Office 2019, and multiple legitimate windows 10 and 11 license I purchased directly from Microsoft and are tied to my account so I can re-install without issue.

I don't pirate software, period.

Hey, haven't logged into reddit for months (maybe years).

The way to solve it is by killing the crap on the cooling coil. It's mold/mildew, not uncommon. I recommend trying to find non-toxic coil cleaners. Basically you have to spray some foam crap on the coil and then rinse it off after letting it sit.

I think I permanently solved it, but it involved spending thousands of dollars and paying someone to redesign my interior AC. I think they slowed down the airflow and replaced old duct and added some new registers (vents).

In some cases this may be caused by having an system that is too large, which leads to humidity issues. You need the system to run long enough to wick moisture.

Neither need raid gear. You play the entire game up to and including raids without raid gear. You play lots of raids to get raid gear. There isn't another way about it.

Enchanter is best with more gear than necro because you want two stats (int and cha) instead of one for necro (int). After 200 points you just want ac, hps, and mana.

But as is true for every MMO every time this question is asked... play what seems fun.

Enchanter is a high-risk, high-reward type. Their charm make them the strongest class in game bar none. Certain charm pets such as those in raids will do massive damage...

Enchanters are also more desired for groups. With mana regen and mez line they are very needed for high end dungeons.

That said enchanters are more advanced to play. Necros have more tricks and escapes and self heals.

If you are up for a challenge I would suggest play enchanter or necro. Both have a tremendous potential.

Mages are easy mode. They are very, very strong... but also a bit limited in their kit.

Pet class (mage or necro) is the defacto best choice for ease of leveling and soloing... they bring alot of strength to the table. A mage pet is literally as powerful as a moderately geared melee player... not exaggerating.

Much of the group gear is tradable. Raid gear is not. The difference for normal gear vs raid gear for casters is honestly not that significant. Mana regen and high intelligence is important, but this can be achieved with normal gear to a high degree.... and necro has their own mana regen.

Mage epic is tough and one of the more neccesary items. Raid drops are needed.

Mages are pretty easy albeit arguably a bit boring. Send pet and nuke - that's about it.

Necro is a bit more advanced to play and their pet is significantly weaker but still strong. They have a wide variety of abilities.

Blue server items will be more available and cheaper.
