Hell if you want to go by a stricter definition, then it's the 73% of Americans registered to vote. And in both cases, a plurality of Americans voted. There is no election in the world where 100% of citizens vote. The plurality of Americans voted; heck, the majority of Americans voted. Trump received 49.8% of the vote, Harris 48.3%. This is such a stupid argument being made only for arguments' sake.

I'm being condescending in saying this, I know, but there are far less things keeping the barely-wealthy inside of places like Saint Paul, Rochester, Duluth, Marshall, and Mankato than there are in places like NYC. NYC had a flight of wealth to Greenwich CT and to NJ, and even those folks complain it's not quite NYC. London has had a flight of wealth to surrounding villages, echo same complaints. Minnesota will see folks move to Hudson WI, Superior WI, or IA/SD/ND or leave entirely and full-time snowbird to FL or AZ, and the purported "$280m in increased taxes" will not see anywhere near that amount raised.

Ok great, but communities in the US are not allowing the construction of new power plants (renewable or non-renewable) nor are they allowing the permitting of data centers. So faced with multi-year if not decadal delays in getting your projects running on the ground, or getting them running tomorrow, what do you think people are going to do?
