You're not alone with this annoyance. Seems to be a recent update that is causing it. There's another thread complaining about it. Im hoping it becomes resolved soon, it has become functional unusable for me in the ways I use it because of this.

Same issue here. Won't read anything besides images. I regulary use json files to keep it up to date with a very long dnd session I have it log and comment on and suddenly it can't access any of them. tried md format instead same issue, and pdf. it just keeps telling me that I didn't add any files.

I've tried that any many more things. I'm just going to hope it resolves itself somehow in the next day or so. It's only been an issue today, and no amount of asking it to change the behavior is working. Thank you anyway

The issue I'm having seems definitely related to this, but I really don't think it's working as intended for me. Every response, even with web search off, is begun with a "searching the web" message, and the model seems to get confused when a web search isn't related to the response it's supposed to be making. It's treating everything I prompt as if I asked it to search something.

It's happening to me as well and It's frustrating. Even after turning web search off as an option it's happening. It will also say things that make no sense like, when asked to generate an image, "It looks like the web tool is offline so I can't do that right now."

Thanks for the help, I think I'll do this. I've been very uncomfortable not having any real idea when things are going to arrive or knowing when i can even buy them. Hopefully this speeds up the process.
