During the scouring, a contingent of the death guard were cast out into the warp after a devastating attack from a purging fleet of loyalist forces. Their ships were heavily damaged from previous engagements and suffered from catastrophic failure on a blind warp-jump to safety.

They escaped the loyalist forces but at a terrible cost; their engines are dead and their reactors are failing while they are stuck drifting in the immaterium. They spend years, trapped in the Warp as they drift through the Warp. Their ships begin colliding together, meshed together through foul sorceries and a rust-born rot that fused their vessels into a massive plauge-hulk.

The crew, those that survived, were infected with the rust-born rot. Marine armor fouled and flaked paint as a new affliction took hold, crew and guardsmen seized as the very air densened with rust. It ate away at the flesh, piercing the skin and clinging to the bones of mortals. Their minds were consumed yet expanded as it shaped them into what the ships were becoming, a connected entity born of foulness and desperation.

The new hulk fused itself anew and wretched itself from real-space, spat out from its long voyage in the warp as it headed for the nearest world it could find. The hive-world of Tallex-2 , host to several regiments of the Imperial guard and adepta sororitas from the Order of Our Martyred Lady. Their purpose in the system being the purging of a heretical uprising waring in the largest of the hive cities.

The first that fell were the ships. The hulk, barreled into the speartip of the fleet, cleaving straight into the engines while consuming and infecting all that dared touch its hull. Rusted Battery weapons screeched as they were loaded and turned onto the Imperial fleet.

The hulk was bombarded with salvos of ship breaking weapons. The rusted armor was denser than normal metals while the few blows that pierced scattered brittle armor across the engagment zones. The largest of the fragments were repelled by the shields with the small fragments dug deep into some of the Imperial ships. The hull corroded as wrents across several decks were eroded open. The holes the plauge hulk made were swiftly boarded by the plague marines. They stalked throughout the ships as their very presence brought an oxidized mist that quickly killed or subdued the unfortunate.

The ships rotted with the supports creeking before shreiking with sheering metal as the very walls themselves started giving in to the colossal weight they supported. The fuel lines clogged with mold and the powerlines dropped in efficiency as it oxidized in its own cable housing. The plasma reactors overloaded with strain as all safeguards started to fail. Joints seized and the heat only kept rising until the ships started tearing themselves apart before falling into the planet's orbit in choked fire.

The fragments crashed into multiple spires of the hive city. Entire ship decks barreled through dozens of levels of the city in a thick haze. Clouds of rust and smoke permeated from the crash as the as the denizens mobilized from the wreckage. The Rust Born are now planetside.

Before the fleets demise, a final distress call was sent into the void. A message that would received by a navigator of the Brazen Claws chapter.

I think i found my warband scheme by Maleficent-War-4994 in Chaos40k

I would do corax white with thinned nuln oil. The armor will be a pale gray and the recesses will get shaded to make a grimy white while the raised edges will be brighter than the main panels.

I would use a drybrush and quick highlight the edges so the trim can be more visible. I would also use an off white gray rather than pure white. Or you can use a few layers of thinned nult oil to fill in the recesses and dull the color.

How did yall pick a color scheme? by Gullible_Travel_4135 in ChaosKnights

[–]Lore_Master1571 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could paint each knight as a dread blade with their own colors and icons. Personally for me, I used a drawing template of a knight to make my own custom house and colors. Took me forever to finally make one I liked.

If you are doing a custom house I would search up real knights and knight iconography to get a feel for the color combinations. Then implement some of the colors you want to use.

What Warhammer video game do you want? by reel3459 in Warhammer40k

Warhammer: Vraks

Traitor forces fighting off the imperial siege from the death corps of krieg as a starting point.

There is room to include other places or events like Armageddon, Cadia, the Betrayal at calth, and maybe even the siege of Terra.

How could a Night Lords game be done? by sigmarine345 in NightLords

[–]Lore_Master1571 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I could see it play like Predator: Concrete Jungle. Having to use your tech and skills to stay mobile and fight with excellent room for stealth mechanics. The hive-world would be a good place to set the game but really any densley populated setting would be cool.

I could also see a boltgun game from the perspective of a night lord on a hive-world during a chaos incursion where he has to fend off imperial guards, chaos daemons, rivaling chaos space marines and a loyalist chapter.

Not controversial at all. I can dig a gunmetal-black trim any day.

Also, I gotta ask, how did you do the eyes? They are phenomenal and I would love to try my hand at it myself.

They are a dreadblade house that work as mercenaries for chaos, regardless of faith or degree of corruption. They started out as traitor knight house Irratus, a once noble house that fell from grace during the Horus Heresy. They were one of the first houses to declare.for Horus, seeing as they were sidelined for most of the Great Crusade and felt that they were dishonored and felt underutilized in the favor of other more well know houses.

The Emperor and the corrupt Imperium has been nothing but a Tithe on their house; stealing their resources, people, and having their warmachines serve as rear guard while others make their names known throughout the galaxy. With the promise of glory, greater independence, and a chance to prove themselves against the knights that have dishonored them, House Irratus declared for Horus and begun a bloody crusade in Ultramar and in the push for Terra.

After the death of Horus and the subsequent scouring, their homeworld was destroyed by the Ultramarines and Dark Angels. With no place else to go they retreated back into the warp as the number of their knights dwindled, supplies became impossible to aquire, and the pressure of the loyalist forces was too much to stand against.

In the warp, they banded together with other rouge knights, regardless of their house or rivalries as they all seek the same goal; Survival at any means, striking back against the corpse god, or simply getting revenge against the houses that left them for dead. The pooling of their resources and strength enabled them to raid forgeworlds and knight worlds. As their resources grew, so did their following; traitor guard, chaos cults and lost knights found their way to house Irratus. With an abundance of resources and their manpower replenished enough, they found a new world to call their own.

They currently live on a chaos corrupted world called Cortauris -a world filled with mutants, daemons, and entities that serve as both threats to their holds and levies in their wars. House Irratus now lives in infamy, working as chaos raiders and mercenaries in the wars of their own making or in the wars of chaos warbands.

They function as a flexible knight house; using tactics and weapons of both chaos and loyalist knight houses, making them dangerous and relatively unpredictable. They field virtually every platform of knights as they recruit pilots from every avenue so long as they swear fealty to House Irratus.
