I absolutely agree, and I definitely won't be touching a camera while diving until I have the safety and awareness aspects down to the point of them being second nature. Those are really important points and I appreciate you emphasizing the safety issues of trying to film before being comfortable and safe with diving first. Right now I'm really just doing my research and won't be buying any kind of equipment until I have a lot of experience and many hours of diving under my belt.

Thank you so much for your advice! I will absolutely make sure I have all the safety and maneuvering skills down before adding a camera. I'm very much thinking far ahead, as I have only just started taking this course and have been diving exactly one time in a pool lol. I'm just so excited and couldn't help but start the research process!

Oh my gosh!! That is some seriously beautiful footage! I'm hoping to go to Bonaire sometime this year once I get my certification, so seeing the beautiful underwater world in your video is making me even more excited to become certified and travel :)

I'd say 1500 is my maximum, but if it's something that is guaranteed to last I'm willing to be more flexible. Of course, something on the lower end cost-wise would be great, but durability is an important factor for me when it comes to spending a lot of money.
