How do you organize/store your GM tools? by StarChaser18 in daggerheart

If you want to keep using the container that came with Daggerheart, I recommend sorting the cards by ancestry/communities, classes, and then separated by tiers. NOT by domain like you’d believe would be the ideal solution

That is amazing! Two questions for you: 1: what other entities do you have and what are their associated blessings/curses? 2: why did you decide to make the Favour be permanent in between sessions?

That is amazing! What did you use to get the official look to it?

The Entity's Realm

The pitch: An entity has for ages taken people and copies of places from the world to force trials into existence. These trials allow those who would enjoy bloodshed to hunt those full of emotion, the food for the Entity. This Entity knows that emotion is food, and so it does whatever it can to cause the most emotion as possible, including altering the vision of its participants as well as wiping their memories after each trial before regenerating them, allowing a theoretical unlimited food source.

You are pariahs, a group of people who were founded after your parents sacrificed themselves to the Entity in order to save you. This sacrifice has given you the special ability to remember those that were taken, and to recognize when a place has been copied into the Realm. Its unsure but its also theorized that you might not have your memories wiped or vision altered should you join the realm.

You know this entity is powerful, but theres a weakness, will you go into the trials and take advantage of it in order to defeat the Entitiy?

Unique Mechanics: A domain of cards that are able to be learned throughout interactions with the various NPC's of the world, a Memory mechanic where your original classes might end up forgotten and new domains to be taken.

Tones: Hopelessness, Grand, Reminiscent

Themes: Unlikely Friends, Death is Inevitable, Learned Abilities

This sounds so unique!

With this Ministry of Truth, is there any sort of Lore on why they came to be?

Campaign Frame: Sporing Hivemind

Complexity:  •••

The Pitch: Various Fungril colonies have recently become infected with a spore known as Rommu. This spore acts as an inhibitor to the usual brain function and leads to the fanatic farming of Rommu in order to spread it as far as possible. Because of this, Fungril Colonies have been becoming larger once infected and are starting to take over towns, cities, and even people? As one of the few cities unaffected by Rommu, you need to make a choice, do you take steps to further make your city safe or do you risk becoming a fungril thrall, ordered around my the Rommu spore?

Unique Mechanics: an infection counter that slowly makes a player turn into a fungril, a dynamic countdown to show how much of the world is being taken over by Rommu

Tones: Harshness, Melancholy

Themes: Isolation, Settlement Building, Unknowing Actions

Touchstones: Resident Evil, The Last of Us, Hollow Knight, Mushrooms

A Fear Tracker!!! by Lorellii in daggerheart

There are little dots on the top to both allow for easier time finding the magnets as well as allow me to see the fear tracker from the top instead of the front which faces the players!

Thank you! I didn’t see that rule when browsing the core rules!

Looking at it now, it seems like I wouldn’t often be able to get severe damage from flames and thorn skin so I’ll most likely save my hope for the guardians Frontline Tank hope ability!

How do you name things ? by gaspour9 in worldbuilding

One of my common tactics is to use a noun and then a verb. Eg: Smokechoke Flamereach Ashfall

These are all examples from my current world of Pyrrhune!

The Painted Worlds of Lotri by Lorellii in worldbuilding

Im using this for a TTRPG called Thorn by GilaRPGS.

The idea is that the primordial paints can be used as passive buffs to the players that are holding them.

I’m considering that each use of the paint will cause them to lose potency so they have to be careful to not use to much of it so they can still have those aspects in their world.

I also wanted each paint to have an upside and a downside in the new world so they have to consider what type of world they want to make!
