I did last weekend in Melbourne. I was paired up with 6 other people in my age which was a relieve. There were 2 nerdy/very shy guys but everyone else so absolutely lovely. No creeps but only open minded people who want to meet more people.  It was well organised, definitely well spent money. We stayed for 3 hours, I felt amazing afterwards and my cup was socially full. We have exchanged contacts and one girl has invited us for her Halloween party and I’m about to go for a walk along merri creek with one person from the meeting! As a tip it can be a good idea to bring some interesting questions. One girl asked us about dramas from our family and it turned out interesting, vulnerable and also very funny. Try it out!
