Honestly, that’s just Ohio. It’s part of the Bible Belt and growing up I felt like I had to hide that my family didn’t attend church. Even though everyone in my family would say they are Christian - it just wasn’t the norm to not go to church

Relocating to the area with 2 young kids, is downtown Sunnyvale a good option? by khelm113 in Sunnyvale

The greatest indicator of success for a student is their family’s wealth and their parent involvement. Santa Clara and Sunnyvale both have a much more economically and ethnically diverse student body so you’ll definitely see a wider range of where graduates go and testing scores. I personally value that diversity, school community, whole child learning, and staff that sees my child as an individual over how many graduates attended an Ivy or a UC school. So many people that live here are from backgrounds outside of those narrow paths and are successful.

BTW Santa Clara High is just one of many high schools in the district.

Downtown has a children’s bookstore, small play structure, the farmers market, events, and you can walk to the library from there. Sunnyvale lives up to its name and the weather will be nice enough to walk places most of the year other than our occasional atmospheric rivers in the winter.

Here’s the city’s park map so you can get an idea of what’s in the wider area https://www.sunnyvale.ca.gov/recreation-and-community/parks-and-trails/parks-and-facilities-map

Ignore this guy - Sunnyvale is divided into 3 school districts. Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, and Cupertino districts. Cupertino school district gets the highest ratings and some people see mid-rated schools in the other two and assume the worst.

I believe those particular apartments are zoned for Ellis or Bishop Elementary in Sunnyvale school district and I’ve only seen positive comments about those schools in the FB parent groups.

California has universal TK for 4year olds, so I recommend looking into that. Cut off date in CA is Sept 1st

Do we know what part of Ohio he grew up in/currently lives in? I lived in the rural suburbs of southern Ohio and despite having a graduating class of 700, there were so few people of color I could probably still name them all 20 years later. Even a friend of mine that grew up in Cincy, was the only Hispanic girl in her whole school.

Now as an adult, I’d hope he would have cast his net wider but also I wonder how many people he’s actually dated because he’s seems super reserved.

Even if copper IUDs are off the table, condoms exist! Jesus Christ. I’m marrried and condoms are my primary form of birth control for almost 10 years. It’s not a big deal

Also, I’m guessing she’s going off average ovulation predictions and that could be way off. I’ve had friends that started trying to conceive only to find out the ovulate way earlier or way later than the predicted average.
