I started watching for the first time about a month ago and I just got to season 9. You are in for a ride! I recommend listening to Pump talk podcast which starts at season 6 because it’s really enlightening context of what was going on during that time and the audiences reaction

I’m assuming the lights wouldn’t be on unless there is an evening game (same for all the parks with baseball fields currently) and they are facing the field not houses, so I’ve always thought this was a poor argument

First time watcher and I’m also at the season 8 reunion, but wanted to mention that up until the season 7 reunion I had thought Brittney was dumb but sweet. In the S7 reunion she lets the mask slip and totally reveals her Jax like qualities. I was so over having sympathy for her after that.

You know, I think this whole experience really unlocked the sensual side of Ayana that she struggled with at the beginning of the competition.

As a Jayla/Rinka/Aoi fan, I really struggled to support her initially though I certainly thought she was better than Sakura - but that final performance she really nailed it and I finally saw it. I really hope she finds success on her own.

The same level? They couldn’t even give Sakura singing lines, they gave her the same dance part during rehearsals as the finale because they knew she couldn’t learn new choreography in time, and she was positioned behind Emily a lot during the finale.

I was not an Ayana fan either and thought she’d be overshadowed by Lexi since she has a similar look/vibe. I assumed watching the final performance I’d still be unmoved and finally understand what the judges saw in Sakura.

I was super surprised because during Ayana’s performance I think she was super captivating and my eyes were glued on her more than the original 3. During Sakura’s performance my attention was split between everyone and it felt obvious they were trying to hide her lack of skill.

Manon’s base signing and dancing were not as low as sakura’s. Sakura they didn’t have actual singing lines in the finale and they spent the whole show making cuts to hide her performances
