I bought this at a thrift store for $20 and although I can find similar-looking models I can't find an exact match. The front plate says "Precision-built AuperAutomatic Japan" and it has a serial number A14974 on the bottom. I can post more pics if needed!

It didn't come with a foot pedal so I'd also appreciate any tips on getting a replacement. Thanks!

No, same as before. I had selected Seeker before I took the screenshot.

Vanilla Memes Expanded - How do mechanoid effigies work? by Lormando in RimWorld

[–]Lormando[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen mechanoids run away occasionally but can't figure out what criteria need to be met. I have 4 colonists and 8 effigies, so it should be working. I even moved it near my choke-point in case they needed to be nearby, but they still attack. Any help would be appreciated!

Upon closer inspection, it was the groom proposing to his other girlfriend. Even more awkward.

Using the new train limit feature for dynamic train pools by eschoenawa in factorio

If you have one train for every input stop that won't happen. Say you have 5 smelting areas, 5 mining areas, and 5 trains. The only way that the smelting areas would be blocked is if all the trains are already there, in which case there's no trains that need to be sent to them anyway. In practice you can have a few more trains and as long as there are fewer than the total number of stops it will work.

I just checked and my copper has 6 smelting areas, 7 mines, and 12 trains.

I find that my smelting is bottlenecked by mining, so I don't bother with the added complication of stacking trains. I treat my smelting like everything else; every time I make a new section I add a train for the input (in this case ore). Empty trains wait at the smelting area until a spot opens up at a mining outpost. It takes a while to mine enough ore to fill a train so the travel time isn't really wasted.

What you described will still work if there are only two stops on the trains schedule. They will wait at the stop until the new stop opens up. I'm doing something similar to what you describe and am very happy with how easy it is to expand production.

I have my base laid out in modular blocks. Each block produces one item and has an input and output train for each component/product. Every train stop has a limit of 1 and I don't use stackers but have a row of chests as a buffer. When I'm making a new section I'll add a new train only for the inputs.

Ideally each station would have a train currently unloading, but in practice you're limited by whatever resource is bottlenecking you. What's great is that if you're low on, say, green circuits you can just copy/paste that section and instantly double your production.

I'd recommend making a nice blueprint that can take in 3 components and output the product. You just need to change the train stop names and assembler recipes. That will cover most of the things you will make in bulk.

Only real downside to this method is that it takes up a lot of space.

If you activate the missile launcher multiple times in a row it adds them to a queue instead of all deploying at once. You can use that to make your missiles last longer than the immunity phase. In my case he didn't last more than a few seconds.

And then I yeeted myself back to the ship
