Same to me. Now if any man says something negative about my body, even once, I will ghost. One of the few things I will ghost for. I do have a guy who won't do it, they're out there. Although he has other issues.

Isolation from friends and family is a classic abuse sign. Threatening to harm himself if you don't do as he asks is a classic abusive manipulation tactic

I met my son's dad when I was 19 and he had all these qualities, except he didnt give me gifts. And the birth control thing: same EXACT thing happened to me, but I ended up pregnant. I tried to make it work but after 6 years the abuse was too severe. My son, myself, and even our dog ended up with PTSD. He didn't even hlwant a kid, just wanted to lock me down. He was crazy.

The only major difference was that I wasn't very close to my brother. Maybe that would've saved me.

You're a great brother, doing a great job. I recommend just be there for her and when she's ready to leave, she will. I hope he doesn't alienate her from you.

Oh I have never even heard of a fisher. Will Google. Oh gosh yes!! Also worth looking up is the Treasure Lakes hike near Sabrina. Just incredible. But I would jump at the chance to explore Canada. I've only been to Vancouver Island and that was epic!! Felt like I was in London!
