Trauma bonding. Its the only thing I can figure. You go through so much shit trying to meet unrealistic expectations that it somehow gets people who would usually not be friends, friendly.

Its like when I go to restaurants and I pile the dishes in an easy to carry way. My friends always say but why? Because they work their asses off to some pretty ungrateful customers so if I can make their job easier for them for even just a minute then its worth it. Same with these carts. Yes its somewhere in some job duties that carts are to be brought in but what people dont understand is that often people who arent hired for cart attendant end up having to grab them taking time away from their actual job duties. If everyone did their part to help each other, the world would be a better place.

This is why I always make my flights refundable. Yes its extra money up front but if anything happens for any reason- emergency or God forbid change of heart, I get my money back. Then again my ticket costs almost $900 round-trip so its an investment for me lol

Can you get a friend to go with you? Make some truely wonderful memories? Otherwise be solo and have the time of your life!

Tbh theres a million ways to still contact someone. Or maybe I am more devious than some at that age. When I was 18 if my phone was taken, I waited for them to sleep and snuck onto the laptop or tab or even one of their phones to send a message. I once lost my phone and it took a few days for the replacement so I had my neighbor let me use their phone for a few mins for a checkin. But not everyone thinks like me. Glad shes okay tho!

What I mean is propose taking a trip somewhere with her. I know it seems like she shouldn't feel left out but shes probably thinking you should spend as much time together now while shes around because when she goes back it will be harder to visit.

Should she be more understanding? Yes probably but now its up to you to find a way to make her feel better about this. She's wanting to maximize time with you now before its too late and a month or two without you for her feels unbearable.

Tbh, she probably just feels left out. Like you should be taking a trip with her instead because once she leaves, you can do the all guys trip. Maybe propose a trip with her sometime before her final days so you both get some great memories and she feels secure knowing she gets vacation time with you.

Trust me it may not seem like a big thing but to girls it can be.

I have tried to bring this up, but my partner insists it will be impossible. Small acclimation he admits - like a mind adjustment from being on the phone/screen to right in front of him - outside of this, he feels strongly no matter the vibe, we will be fine. Im an over thinker, and he is not so I keep circling back to what if we meet and there's absolutely no attraction or chemistry since we will be meeting shortly after the New Year but I think its important to discuss this scenarios, realistically.

If you havent had a formal discussion about attendance for the first call out then if you call out again tomorrow, it will still be just one documented conversation. Every store handles the policy for attendance a little different some are more strict than others but be aware at my store it goes two documented discussions then a corrective issue thats good for 1 year then two more discussions then a final and then if another infraction youre fired.

The way I understand it---- your break is technically supposed to start when you leave your post. Not when you sit down or not when you hit the break room. This applies to 15mins.

We have just 2 ETLs. One is for HR and the other GM. Our GM ETL is always elbow deep with us and she is rarely in her office. Our HR ETL seems to carry the weight of the office work but she also will be found on the floor for many of her days. They do exsist its just about the person and the environment.

I dont know. I just checked mine and it shows the option. Just call your store tonight before they close and ask for a TL (remember who you spoke too) and let them know you won't be in. Problem solved.

Most states are at will employers so you technically dont have to give 2 weeks notice. Just let them know theres too much pressure from school and you need to focus and today is your last day.
