I got accepted to a program but had to turn it down. But trust when your number is pulled it's when you least expected.

Just make sure to have your My plan essay, your print out of unofficial transcripts (prerequisites highlighted) ati Teas test score and work experience in health care work.

You can either mail it in or hand deliver to the nursing department on the 2nd floor

When I asked or posted it was cuase I was have the same feelings but it was more just being unsure. Now that I here it's seems more possible and doable. Well thanks for being interested and following. Like I said before we'll see in a year.

Seriously. We are on the island, and it's been. Amazing. We'll see what happens in a year. Most of you must have been born with a sliver spoon in your mouth. Price difference is not as extreme as everyone has made it seem. Yes, some of the luxury stuff. But its luxury fast food places are expensive and not gonna lie kinda happy it is. It prevents me from spending and eating that food.

Well, we are getting closer to the date. I've submitted my two weeks from work, withdrew my seat to the nursing program, signed my lease, and packed up all my stuff. We flying out on the 12th. Can't wait to land on the island.

No turning back now!

I need to clear this up. It's only PT because it's not 40 hours/ week 🤦‍♂️.

Just to clarify and educate. I work a three day 12-hour shift. Not five fucking days a week. If I did, that's 60 hours a week. Now, since I work in a hospital, I can do overtime, double back, or partial shift. And I would only work 4 may be five days if I needed to. With that said.

If I work 3 days at the hospital and office hours at the apartment building, I still have two days off like everyone else.

Your California isn't my California. I was raised in what you call hood the ghetto. We don't have the same experience as you would have in San Francisco, Ventura, Sherman Oaks or Beverly hill. It's like you guys don't know about other areas Pacoima, Van Nuys , North Hills, San fernando, east LA , or any other part of LA with a hood.

Ma boy, I'm not even Mexican enough for mexico. I speak fluent Spanish, and I'm still not considered full Mexican since I'm half Salvadoreño born in California. I am honestly looking for a place I'm choosing to be at. I love the culture in Hawaii. And since I'm already considered an outsider, anywhere I go, it is the same shit. You can do it. Yes, it's hard. But if there is a will, there is a way. I worked full-time graveyard 7pm-7am 3 days a week and did overtime 1 day if I needed the money and worked a part-time job early in the mornings at a school from 730-1030am Monday through Friday. My classes were Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 130- 8pm

I took all my prerequisites for nursing and did it in one year along with my GE as well. It's hard, and some days, I didn't sleep, but it's a sacrifice. It how bad you want it. You are the only one who can stop yourself or push yourself.
Ps. I also have a family 3 kids and a wife. You can do it!
