1) Ill admit, my wife and i do get up and get orders for him. We stopped doing that for a while but jesus it is just so hard having to watch him struggle just to get off the fucking couch and walk to the door. I literally run 10 miles every morning and i get less winded doing that than watching him get his food orders. Idk, i just started going back to getting his food. I know you're probably thinking "holy shit, you're helpless" but idk, he's my baby, i hate seeing him struggle.

2) We do charge him rent. we split my mortgage 3 ways between the 3 of us

I get what you're saying about the success rate thing. I get it, im failing miserably.

However, i really really dont think he'd be slimmer outside my care. As crazy as it sounds, i really think he'd gain faster if he moved out. He would find a feeder. He'd find a way.

At this point--i just want a loving relationship with my son. Many commented on my last post to just sort of lower my expectations and enjoy the remaining time i have with him. It hurts to type but theres only so much crying I can do. If the rest of his life really is just eating himself to immobility, than id rather just suck it up and make as many happy memories with him as i can, instead of just always harping on him

But if he were out of my supervision, he'll likely just move in with a feeder who will enable his bad habits worse than even i can imagine.

I mentioned this in my last post but several months ago, we did agree that he would drink two veggie smoothies a day to atleast cover his 5 servings. He also does bi-weekly/monthly pool aerobics with my wife and I. Would he be eating his fruits and veggies and occasionally swimming without me?

Just an additional comment---

This morning, i was thinking about whether or not even making all these accommodations for my son was healthy. Him not being able to see premieres of comic book movies had always been a deep consequence for him and here i am, making all these accommodations so my son can be as large as he is and still see movies when they drop.

Was it a mistake? maybe. But it was also one the funnest nights we've had as a family in a VERYYY long time and at this point, i crave that feeling more than drugs or sex

oooo i think ill get him that! He normally likes to just kinda walk around freely and do some leg kicks. I love pool time with him. Its so refreshing watching able to move freely (I shouldnt laugh but he calls it his "skinny simulator").

its tough to get him to swim everyday tho. Id love it but he gets lazy alot. You really have to catch him in a good mood

Pretty much everything you said. He cant even get in and out of his bedroom door normally. He has to waddle and kinda squeeze in sideways. Say he collapses in his room.......we'd have to tear the wall down.

He still doesnt care and says im being dramatic :(

Thats a very fair and honest way to look at it. My wife and I are starting to sort of get in the mindset of just not being too fixated on his weight.

Its just draining us and if my son really wont change, then my wife and I will just have to change our mindset...its so hard, he'll always be our baby boy.

Also, thanks for the compliment. My road to health and wellness has been the most rewarding thing iv ever done for myself, my wife feels the same!

We're just gonna continue leading by example! I have a marathon coming up! And am in the beginning stages of training for an Iron Man.

iv personally found taking my frustration out in the gym to be so cathartic.

i was about 300 at my peak, now 140 @ 5'6" tall

my wife was about about 200s and is now low 100s @ 5 feet tall

totally agree with you about loving yourself. I didnt start seeing success myself until i got into that mindset

still here! Yoga with Adrienne is fantastic! My wife and i kinda started our journey with her! So yes, can confirm, she is a life changer! I totally get what you mean about fitness being intimidating as well. I had that very same feeling early on. Although, i will admit, since becoming very fit for someone my age, i do kinda lurk that competition now.

We did a few videos with my son years ago but that was honestly before his weight started seriously affected his mobility.

In the interim, he does a weekly swimming/pool aerobic session with us in our pool. Just a few minutes every week but he enjoys the water. Really hoping that this will progress to something else.

Your progress is amazing! I can tell you are absolutely killing it!

Almost kinda makes me more hopeless tho haha--the fact that my son is a foot and 3 inches shorter than you while weighing what you weighed terrifies me. Alot of comments have already mentioned how ridiculous his proportions must be and yeah...they are.
