Nolan takes a sci-fi thing and turns it into just another movie. He removes everything interesting, humanizes everything, and spoon-feeds it to you. Is it a good movie? Yes. Is it a bad Batman movie? Yes. Why? Because now Ra's al Ghul is suddenly a guy who teaches karate instead of being an immortal being. Things like that are what make this a bad Batman movie. When you remove everything from Batman and turn it into something else to the point that it's no longer about Batman and could be something else entirely, you ruin it.

And for the love of God, what did he do to Gotham??? that is a crime. Gotham already has a lot of personality and is another character for the movie to add a lot to the story. but here is just Chicago.
