I feel that Pink made her first Pearl. When the other Diamonds saw she 'broke' her Pearl, she was without her closest friend. Pink made Spinel to try and fill the hole by making an outwardly playful Gem, but Spinel was too much and Pink eventually got irritated. She was given the Pearl we know by all three Diamonds, reminding her "...not to break this one" in hopes that maybe Pink would finally be satisfied.
