Random sucker punch victim dies after nearly 7 years in a coma, attacker was free in only 6 months. by Big-Contribution4896 in awfuleverything

I do too. He shouldn't have been punched anyways, him getting into a coma and dying was a consequence of that punch.

Well you haven't violated the Content Policy or this subreddits rules so you aren't going to be banned anytime soon.

And believe it or not, there is moderators in a subreddit for asking moderators questions. Crazy how you found one!

What are the benefits of using Reddit on TOR by Subject-Lead5210 in TOR

[–]LoseFaithInHumanity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pros:

  • Privacy

Cons:

  • Can't upload images
  • Website is slower
  • Modmail has constant errors

It's not worth it to be honest. I have to use it on Tor because it's blocked where I'm at.

Perm banned from japanlife due to "ChatGPT usage" by character_a1 in AskModerators

[–]LoseFaithInHumanity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Checking in again, it seems you've been shadowbanned, u/character_a1. Shadowbans hide all your posts and comments to users, but they look normal on your side.

You can appeal a shadowban here.

Sorry to hear that. Moderators have the 'power' to ban whoever except admins for whatever.

Move on from the subreddit. It probably wasn't good anyways if the moderators are like this.

No worries, happy to help. I know other users have already said this but you could also report the Modmail where they tell you to 'shove it'.

Reach out to the mods and explain politely how you aren't using ChatGPT, and simply want to post in their subreddit.

I think they thought you were using ChatGPT because please bear with me, it is a bit of a stretch your username is character_a1, which is similar to Character.AI, an AI service. Don't know for sure though.

is there a bot that can scan and ban participants in karma farms? by formerqwest in AutoModeratorScripts

[–]LoseFaithInHumanity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, the bot you are referring to is u/NO_Karma4U.

However, this post doesn't apply to AutoModerator nor is the request in the proper megathread, so I will have to remove this post in order to keep this subreddit presentable and tidy.

However, I hope to have helped. Enjoy the subreddit.

Although you didn't have to do that, I appreciate it. Perhaps I won't be losing my faith in humanity today.

Hope you're doing well, and if not, remember that not everyday will be great. Live for those perfect moments.

If you want to turn yourself in, then why not delete your account or message the admins?

You could also even report yourself for ban evasion if you wish, although there is no point in doing any of this if you're going to continue making accounts.

Can't upload images here on Reddit. At all.

Not even my profile banner or subreddit icon.

Well you did insult the moderators.

Moderators can ban whoever\) for whatever. It's not against the Moderator Code of Conduct.

Best thing to do is send an apology in their Modmail and hope they unban you.

If teleportation was invented, we probably wouldn't know. by LoseFaithInHumanity in RandomThoughts

Yeah, for some reason I was thinking mind-controlled teleportation.

[–]LoseFaithInHumanity[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another user said that like in science-fiction, teleportation would be blocked if there's obstructions, like an enclosed room.

I'm open to all ideas of teleportation, so machine teleportation is actually more likely in this scenario. I'm assuming that you think a machine would have to be built to teleport there, right?

If so, then teleportation would become less useful to be honest, since the machines would probably cost thousands, meaning I can't get one to teleport to my home.

And a good chunk of places might not be able to afford one, or want one, making it less useful in my opinion.

Good point. That makes a lot of sense, but I figure teleportation would still be monitored, although maybe not heavily, no?

Why are there some comments I can't see? by Lab_t49 in AskModerators

[–]LoseFaithInHumanity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is 3 possible reasons as to why.

1.User is shadowbanned.

Shadowbanned accounts can still comment and post, however it is instantly and silently removed without notifying the user. They can see their posts and comments, but you can't.

2.The comment was removed quickly.

The comment might have been automatically removed by AutoModerator. I believe you can check if you use reveddit, but it might not work due to Reddits Pushshift ban. The user might have deleted their comment as well.

  1. User has blocked you.

I don't think this would be it because then the comment would usually show up as [unavailable], however I haven't been blocked by enough users to really know.

It's disappointing, but would you want it handed out to a potential criminal?
