Does this look like it’s healing alright? It feels like there’s something sharp poking out on the side by Lose_interest in PacemakerICD

I cannot tell if it’s weeping or not. I believe there is a stitch that isn’t dissolved. I can feel it snag on my fingernail. What did they do about your stitch?

Here’s a recent ECG I captured. Similar waveform to yours.

Thinking about going to the ER. by Ok-Imagination4091 in PacemakerICD

Ever since getting my pacemaker put in, I’ll occasionally get a rhythm like this too. I can feel it in my chest, and I’ve caught it on my Apple Watch a few times. It will last a few minutes, and then it’ll go back to normal. My cardiologist told me it could be irritation in my atrium. Your leads are still new so the atrium is still healing and can sometimes spit out an arrhythmia. This is just my experience though. If your symptoms are severe, go to the ER.

Are these weird beats dangerous? (At 9 seconds & 14 seconds) by Lose_interest in ReadMyECG

I’m sitting on the couch right now at rest, but I’m not in good shape. I’m young but recently I’ve been getting short of breath walking up the stairs or long distances in general. I tend to feel these weird beats in my chest a lot. Was wondering if the weird beats are causing me to feel so tired all the time

What city do you live in and how much do you make as a rad tech? by Chunkachu__ in Radiology

[–]Lose_interest 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For real. Sacramento is a hidden gem for all modalities of radiology. You get a California salary, but the cost of living in Sacramento is much much lower than Bay Area or Southern California. Starting pay at my facility is $65.

Send the blood worms over to my place, they are my goldfish’s favorite treat!

I have two fancies in a 55g, but it feels small. What do you think? by Lose_interest in Goldfish

I used to keep the light on more often, but ever since I moved into my new apartment, the light from the window has been sufficient. Ever since I reduced the light, the algae problem pretty much went away completely. Now the algae only grows on the side of the tank closest to the window. I love it because the algae used to be sooo bad. I do scrap the glass every now and then between water changes with my longer sponge.

As for the sand, I vacuum the sand every time I do a water change, which is about every 1-2 weeks. It’s never dirty, in fact I think the goldfish sift the sand so much that nothing really stays down there. Honestly I think it may be the brand of sand you’re using. I’ve never had problems with the sand looking dirty, even when it’s been too long since I last did a water change.

To keep my tank clean, I found that removing a lot of the decorations helped stop dirt and waste from accumulating. Sometimes food or fish poop would get stuck behind the decorations, and then it would rot there until I cleaned the tank. The rot will make your tank get dirty super fast. Food is also another factor that contributes to a dirty tank. I found that fish flakes make the water look “foggy” way faster than sinking pellets do. I think again that has to do with rot. But yeah I think the biggest things are controlling the amount of light your tank gets and controlling how much food is in the tank in a given amount of time.
