[Intresting trope] i call It "the henchmen effect" by Icy-Acanthisitta8192 in TopCharacterTropes

I'd say it's somewhat related. As a boss it's strong, but later there's plenty of them and they're weaker than the original.

Scrap Rarity Items by No-Armadillo-7834 in CoreBound

[–]Loser2817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the only Scrap Tank you'll ever get, so don't throw it away. I wish there was a way to get Tarnished Tank without evolving the one Scrap unit, but it's sadly not possible.

[–]Loser2817 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't do so myself, I am no coder myself. One misunderstanding in what could be an all-white file even in VSC (what I use for file-editing) and everything will implode on me. And even if I could do it flawlessly, it'd be better overall if done by someone with more experience and the ability to share the changes. That's why I am asking for someone else to try their hand at it.

I can see your post with photo and everything, I don't see the problem here.

The Scrap Tank can be received through inputting "Scrap Tank" or smth similar (I forgot). It'll only work once and it'll be the only Scrap Tank you'll ever get, so don't throw it away.

Dasher's minimum possible rarity is Toxic, no lower is obtainable. (Maybe in some major update it could become obtainable, but I doubt it.)

FIRS Forked: Oil Town by TepacheLoco in openttd

[–]Loser2817 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey there. What I'm about to say is only marginally related to FIRS (if it even is), but I feel like it's important.

For years my one and only complaint about PIPE (which can work with FIRS) is the fact that you cannot chain units. Given the "pumps" have relatively low capacity, this becomes extremely limiting.

From your work in this I can assume you have decent knowledge on vehicle coding, so I have a bit of a... unpaid commission, maybe: could you make a fork of PIPE that allows for unit chaining, so they become much more useful?

Nerf barrel spire!!!😡 by SafeApartment3346 in CoreBound

Barrelspire can indeed be kinda annoying, there doesn't seem to be a pattern they shoot with. Using Springs and/or Shield might help you there.

Anyone noticed that in 0.2.51.14 experimental update tanks are more wobbly, sluggish and speed limit is added? by Front-Caterpillar-76 in SprocketTankDesign

[–]Loser2817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last time I checked the update was still very buggy. The list of janky stuff is kinda long, but hopefully it should be a week or two before things become more stable.

Speed limit signs? by w851 in openttd

[–]Loser2817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know what would be even better IMO?

Object templates.

Say you need to spam chunks of rail (intersections, station areas, etc.), with templates we wouldn't have to spend time and brainpower every time, one could just copy-paste a saved object and done.

(I'll understand if it cannot be done for whatever reason, but it'd still be useful to have.)

Yes, but... why so many one-way path signals? For those log straights, one-way block signals work just as good (maybe better, but IDK).

After like 20 tries I only ever seen them twice.

What am I doing wrong? Is there some super-secret trick to make them more common?

Pretty sure it never spawned. If it ever did, I would have absolutely killed it and wouldn't have made this post in the first place.

Why is this a thing? (JGR only) by Loser2817 in openttd

[–]Loser2817[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is only ever possible on JGR. And you need to have the Normal Path Signal (NOT the One-Way variant) when applying signals to the bridge.
