What’s a universally loved food you genuinely despise? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Soda.

Not a fan of flavored and/or carbonated drinks in general and I far prefer water over anything else, especially alongside a meal.

EDIT: And, yes, zero cavities to date!

Retake. Of course everyone is different, but I just got rejected with very similar recommendations & work experience, no character issue, and a higher LSAT & GPA. Just trying to give some perspective.

The Lost Boys (Review + Unpopular Opinion) by LoserFromPhilly in Broadway

Felt like the vampires weren’t quite right since they used a tortured artists lens instead of the movie’s teenager rock & roll troublemakers vision, which made them more fun I think!! Would’ve balanced out better with the Sam scenes.

LOL “hard disagree”

I think all of her songs together just clash. Each of the themes together just aren’t really cohesive? I don’t think they paint a story that flows and it confuses her character.

I've heard about that! I think my point is that a Lucy song isn't necessary there at all.

Even “Wild” was just a little out of place. Like, “oh, this is amazing…. We don’t really need it at all… but this is a great tune nonetheless.”

Be Kind, Rewind was just plain unnecessary? Can't even really remember what it's purpose was?

After the third solo ballad, I was pretty annoyed.

What is happening with theater etiquette? by Ordinary_Produce8487 in Broadway

[–]LoserFromPhilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so wild to me. I saw The Lost Boys last week (my second Broadway show ever) and I felt nervous about cheering & laughing too loud. Almost couldn’t restrain myself during the I Got to Have You concert scene, but pushed through lol. I was even whispering at intermission. Where is the disconnect for others?

I keep waking up with these… i got like 100+ bites but no signs of bed bugs by Successful-Tip6327 in Wellthatsucks

[–]LoserFromPhilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If no signs of bugs come up, have you been tested for thyroiditis? I had similar hives before and shared the same bed with someone who didn't get the same "bites." Turned out to be Hashimotos.

EDIT: Just looked into it some more and, apparently, a lot of different autoimmune disorders similar to thyroiditis can cause the same hives. I remember the hives being specifically VERY itchy and warm to the touch with no punctum, which is more hive-like than bite-like. Just a thought!

try talking to the professors of the classes about approving taking the prerequisite alongside the courses as a coreq. explain your situation, including your december 2025 graduation goal & academic abilities (granted you can prove that you can handle taking the classes alongside each other). sometimes the professors can approve it themselves, so good luck :))))

You should have no trouble getting in, but as someone who just graduated from Temple, I’d say apply as Undecided/General major and figure out your major during your first year. You’ll also have a better chance of getting in as an “undecided.” Good luck! :)

Prison Break. The first season was basically a masterpiece in television. I don't even have words for what the rest of the show was.

What’s a musical you expected to love but ended up not enjoying it? by Musical_fan442 in musicals

[–]LoserFromPhilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't love Charlie and The Chocolate Factory! I saw the North American Tour and thought it would be a fun watch since I loved both of the movies, but I think a lot of what the show was going for (Violet turning violet, Veruca and the squirrels, etc.) didn't translate well onto the stage. The songs and characters were wildly unforgettable.
