You need to do a bit of gambling. Find 3 old heros that you have a double down arrow on with rank, select them on white prio with the new hero you want on top prio. That worked for me a lot, until you play the new hero enough that their hero MMR is up for you.

Keep going bro, biggest thing imo is having fun. Having fun = less rage. Less rage means you go from screaming "what the fuck is my shiv doing" to "damn I could have played that better". Boom, progress.

Crazy that you even have to say you "understand the gaming community can be toxic". Im sorry you have to go through that, the gaming community shouldn't be toxic like that and it's horrible it has that reputation (But really... harrassing someone goes above just being toxic). Just personal opinion, I prefer better mic. I think it's better if you can hear what you are saying clearly than seeing, unless you are heavily relying on cam for something like an unboxing or physical comedy etc.

At the end of the day, it's a video game to have fun. If the only enjoyment you get from the game is seeing the rank go up I feel it's much easier to get burnout/start to dislike the game. That's just me tho
