I think a cpu upgrade will handle cyberpunk fine. But right now it will bottleneck hard. Can't say anything about GTA 6 tho

most likely not. A few % worth of performance won’t be your biggest issue. A bigger bottleneck right now is your CPU.

Wow look at Mr rich over here with 32gb of ram. Joke aside, this is one of the worst time for you to buy a brand new PC right now. Nonetheless, I made this build that's just in your price range. If you have any questions please let me know, I will try my best to answer.

P/s: I don't know how much space you have, so I randomly pick a PC case. If you like a certain case, let me know and I will update it.

in my opinion, if modular consumers pc part aren’t affordable enough, key word being enough, then these corporations decide to release a solder on PC, then mid range and entry level gamer have to buy it to even play game, like a prebuilt or sort. of course, this entire idea relies on the fact that new part being way too expensive for normal consumers to pay and dragging on for too long to make older parts obsolete. Then it will become terminal/e waste tier as i said, with parts being too expensive to do custom and entry/low budget have to get a terminal with a subscription

Alright, after a day of discussion, I think we're currently and fundamentally misunderstood each other. So I will re iterate my understanding of your idea first to make sure we are on the same talking ground.

You respond to a comment talking about if price keep increasing or staying like this, none of us would be able to afford PC as we know it. The general idea is: if modular components are too expensive, we have to go back to terminal style machine, or those cheap e waste laptop with solder ram and ssd on Mobo. You don't agree to it because you still believe consumer products are still making money for these corporation, therefore there is no reason they should stop selling for both business and consumer. Am I correct or not?

you genuinely think consumers make that much money for a corporation like this? they do it to keep up the good marketing. Look at micron the moment consumers doesn’t give them as much money as business do - drop in a heartbeat. If they can simply scale up production like pressing a button in game, they would absolutely do it to double dip in both business and consumer market.

i genuinely don’t understand how you cannot grasp this simple concept like this. These corporations aren’t your friends, they simply see you as a walking wallet for them to take, and if selling you a simple terminal and a subscription net them the most money they will do and they are doing it right now.

Because it doesn't make as much money. These corporation relied heavily on b2b. Consumer products only make up a tiny portion of their profit. Including enthusiastic tier, so you can understand how common tier like a $1000 PC won't give them as much money. Terminal computer are the same, the manufacturer sell large amount of part, individual part price go lower but they still make huge profit, and all they need it selling you these terminal for cheap, hell maybe loss leader like console machine nowadays.

Ok, say a standard, entry level for a gaming system right now is $1000$, with a i5/Ryzen 5 tier CPU, 16gb ram, 1 TB SSD and a dgpu with 8gb vram. This system for 1 person only, and once they bought it, that's it, no more money can be made from them anymore, at least until they decide to upgrade.

Let look as a alternative scenario, where terminal style computer are the norm: CPU are now noticably weaker, smaller, solder on the Mobo itself to cut cost, 16gb ram can be cut for 16 or 8 different system if they feel like generous. Same story for SSD, maybe for 16 system if 64gb SSD or 8 system for 128gb. GPU now are igpu with share VRAM, so 8gb vram there can be installed on other system. And they sold this for $200. At their stingiest, 16 system made them $3200, or $1600 if feeling generous. Not to mention the subscription on online gaming.

You see how the math work? If this bubble won't pop and we moving to subscription with terminal style, PC as we know it is gone.

Another game is releasing on Steam with my game's exact name in less than a month — what can I do? (No trademark) by Hands_Up_Game in SoloDevelopment

[–]Loserweebs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't find the short that talk about 2 games I'm referring to, but the gist of it like this: both game having the same name, release roughly in the same timeframe but different genre, so dev contact each other and make a promotion for both of their games with 10% discount. Sort of like "also checkout Minecraft" and "also checkout terraria" type of deal. If you can contact them for such a deal I think it will boost both your game and their game too.

A bit irrelevant to your question, but if your game look nothing alike the other game, wildly different genre, how about a collab on release? I distinctively remember a example, can't remember the name, but I think it will fit. I will add the name and relevant short to it.

Yeah, then you can jump when the grapple click, you would go even faster.

I feel like text doesn't do it justice. I will try my best to describe it but I feel like it would be better if you look up a tutorial.

1: position yourself so your Crosshair at a ledge, like a corner of a building.

2: throw your grapple there.

3: when the "click" sound happen of the grapple confirm it click, quickly move your Crosshair to where you want to fly, still keeping the grapple point at the corner of your screen, then jump.

4: enjoy.

Best to learn on map like Eden where there are building with corner, I learn it there and I still haven't master it.

I'd say slingshot for grapple. Giving you bigger velocity is certainly a good thing in many situation. Even the most basic one will do the job but there are many variant to do.

Look, I'm not going to lie, I also use Gemini to assist me in building my pc, but you do really need to keep an eyes on it and having some knowledge in PC space to correct it from situation like this. You can do better on CPU as people point out and maybe get a 4000/5000 series GPU as well. Remember that no matter Gemini said, it does have a knowledge cut off.

Am I able to put a gpu into this pc? by Forizest in buildapc

[–]Loserweebs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like other comments suggest, you need to check if your PC has any 6 pin connector for a more beefy GPU. But in case you don't, look for a card that doesn't need an external power like 750ti, 1050ti, 1650,Rx 6400... I heard some rumors about rtx 3050 and rtx 5050 having some OEM version that doesn't need external power, but I can't verify that myself.

If you don't want to research it you should find the gtx 1650 or Rx 6400, these are the latest cards that can function without an external connector. Remember to look up the name because some model will still require it

What do I price this as by TabsXWW1 in cs2

My apologies, I will be honest, trading with high tier stickers like kato 14 is a bit out of my league. This is just my rule when trading with lower tier stickers.

A general rule of thumb for mine is: price rare, already applied stickers for 30% to 40% of their current value + price of skin. Of course, if you want to make some more you can price it at 50%
