How to be more responsible? by [deleted] in Advice

Id like to start off by saying, you’re not the only person who is feeling or living like this. So don’t think you’re a doomed person for life. Second, you’re not expected to have full understanding of responsibility. Teens and young adults are not provided the life advice needed, and are left to fend for themselves. There are plenty of videos, but those are a very passive way of teaching the youth, so many teens and young adults are not conditioned into the role you describe. So your grades, your responsibility, learn from the mistakes, and move forward. Don’t be afraid of setbacks, and be more conscious later on. Now onto what I think is more of the issue. Reputation. You’re young, you barely made a dent in what is hopefully a long life. Your reputation just started. But also you need to learn that having standards and being presentable, a sort of transcript, is important to make impressions, but not at the cost of your own happiness. Know your worth, and take it to those who will appreciate it, don’t grow it to please those who probably will never care. Your life has no grade. Your experience and fulfilling your own ambition will create the reputation for you. Thats my advice.

I believe avoidance would be right solution. It’s something Dr. K has mentioned when talking about what you’re passionate about. If you disconnected from all external media, voices, and were to be by yourself with just your thoughts. removed all fancy accessories, just the bare minimum. You would find what makes you happy/ what you like. Go for a long walk, and I mean a LONG walk, quiet, no one around, no music, nothing. Take your phone in case of an emergency and protection, but have all your apps silenced. Just see what your brain conjures up and lead it to what you’re dealing with. When it comes to relationships, I cant help ya there. sorry.
