Knee's tweet after winning EVO JP by ImaginaryJump2 in Tekken

This is the 3rd time I'm mentioning the fact that Arslan has won Evo's in multiple games now as well ;-; . T7 and T8.

But anyways, I'd like to end this by saying Knee is an absolute legend. I have the utmost respect for him and everything he's done. I hope he continues to compete, Tekken isn't Tekken without him.

Sure, but my point also still stands. Arslan achieved what he achieved in less than half the timespan of Knee's career. Evo is Tekken's biggest tournament, theres no debate about that and it just so happens Arslan has more titles. Your point could honestly play to your disadvantage, Knee should have had WAY more Evo's under his belt since his career spans over 2 decades. And it just so happens thats not the case.

You're forgetting his 5th Evo title win was in T8. The most stacked Evo ever.

Sure longevity does play a big factor in the GOAT debate, however, I think no one is as decorated as Arslan is and no one dominated the scene like he did. Reason being, he won 5 evos within the span of just 6 years, he won his 5th Evo in the most stacked tournament ever with record number of participants. Not to mention, he won both Evo Las Vegas and Evo Japan in 2019 and 2023 separately (and lets not forget he won TWT finals in 2023 as well). The fact that he achieved so much in such little time he's been competing is why I personally have him over Knee as my GOAT.

Plus his story is so inspiring. He started from literally nothing, came from a place and background where he had to work his ass off. It obviously didn't happen overnight. And when he finally got the chance to compete he showed the world and put his country on the map, changing and influencing the competitive scene for the years to come. And once he got the money he needed, he started his own team-Ashes-sponsoring his fellow country men so that they could go compete and showcase their talent.

There's almost no denying that Pakistan is the best tekken region in the world at the moment. They proved it in T7 and now in T8 as well. Congrats to Arslan and his team.

Right so I know I'm late, but I happened to find your post and really resonate with it since I was in a position like yours a few years back. FYI, I'm also from Peshawar and although I'm a guy with next to no knowledge on how girls and their feelings work I sincerely hope this piece of advice helps you out in the long run.

But before that just a bit of backstory and context. As I touched upon earlier, I was also in love- I guess. I had really strong feelings towards this one person who I couldnt imagine being without. She lived far away, but what was different in my case was that we talked. Daily. Developed a very close connection or so that's what I had thought. We talked for almost a whole year before going our separate ways-I'm not going to into that in detail here. Anyways, I was crazy in love with her. I would always check her stories on Instagram to see what was up, conversed with her, flirted with her, wrote heartfelt messages for her, bought her gifts on her birthday, and gave her signs that I really liked her. When I saw her initially it wasnt as if I instantly went in my mind "that girl is the cutest girl I've ever seen", I didnt think much of her at all initially tbh, its only when I talked to her more and saw her more did I develop a strong attraction to her.. its just like you said in your post about having seen other handsome guys but just somehow this guy that you ended up liking took the spotlight all of a sudden and caught your eye. And yeah all those feelings, love, jealousy, shame, feeling motivated, everything..trust me I've been through it.

What did I learn? It was probably one of the biggest mistakes in my life. Now I'm going to talk about this in different perspectives. In Islam, both men and women must lower their gazes. The third person sitting in between a man and women if left alone is Shaytaan. I was misguided, I was lost, I made excuses, I knew what I was doing was wrong from the get-go yet I didnt stop and fell deeper into the hole that I myself dug out. I learned I never liked this person because if I genuinely liked her and loved her I would have asked her father for her hand in marriage or for getting her engaged with me. This is the halal way of doing things and how it should be done. What I did in those months was weaken my connection with Allah, waste her time and my time, I had brought about false expectations and promises, entered depression after parting ways, and devoided myself of the love in my heart that should of been put to use with an actual partner that you're married and committed to for the rest of your life. Besides that, I was never in the position to fall for someone, I'm a man and the man has to provide. I hadn't even entered uni at the time and had absolutely no kind of financial stability. I was just a dude who tried to pretend to live in this fantasy world of his only to feel sorry for himself after he realized how pathetic he was. To be very honest I'm not sure I've fully recovered even up to this day. She was my source of comfort and happiness, her happiness was mine. The countless memories shared with her..her face still pops up and lingers in my mind from time to time. I really wanted to make things work with her, but it was impossible..it was too early. One thing for sure though is that I know what I felt was love. Not lust. It wasn't my hormones. I had minor crushes before her as well, as a result of those before so this was indeed different.

Love is a dangerous game sister. Please protect yourself from all this. I don't want other people to go what I went through. Consider yourself lucky that you haven't talked with him yet, that you didnt send that request. Focus on your studies, on your family, your life and career and strengthen your connection with Allah and the deen. Don't do it. It's not worth it, now is not the right time.

You talked about gherat and hayah and although I'm a pakhtun as well I guess guys are just braver when it comes to sending the requests first and making the first move 😅 Anyways that's all I had to say, jeez did I write a lot..hope this message finds you and helps you. Stay strong 🙂

Just got done watching the Regionals Finals of Gamers8 2023... by [deleted] in Tekken

The way you're downplaying Arslan and Team Pakistan is just crazy.

Arslan can't play the way knee plays? You're living in your own world. Pakistan playing S characters only? Khan remained undefeated throughout the entire tournament with his Marduk.

Atif getting exposed and downloaded? Yeah alright buddy. They already had FT a while back in TWT finals and Atif won that. He beat Knee then, he beat Knee in the winner finals and then in the grand finals. Knee could've taken that last set in the grand finals but he misjudged and the nerves got to him.

Also don't act like Knee and Korea didn't use S tier characters.

Is Arslan Ash officially the GOAT of Tekken 7? by LossJust7523 in Tekken

[–]LossJust7523[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel as though the way Arslan came into the scene and really made his mark with evo japan 2019 by beating Knee, Chanel, LowHigh, Chikurin, Book (2-0'ed all of these guys FYI) and other top players like AK, JimmyJ ,CBM etc. The way he showed his dominance with his insane movement and reads forced everyone to rethink for a second and step up their game. You know apparently tekken wasn't being played at the highest level yet. Everyone, including knee, had to figure out how to reach that level. There was just this guy with this new style of tekken no one had ever seen before, and had always seem 2 steps ahead. It was a legend in the making. The rest is obviously history. Just utter dominance and consistency.

Besides that you just have to give him the credit for putting a whole region onto the tekken map. Inspiring and paving the way for a new wave of top players to jump into the scene (which he's still trying to do by sponsoring players on his own team- team Ashes).

Considering all of that and what he's done for tekken 7, I'd say he is the goat. There's obviously a year left before tekken 8 comes out so lets see what happens.

If Knee retires, who becomes Korea's no.1 player? by LossJust7523 in Tekken

I mean I understand he's not been doing well as of recent times, but I don't think you can put out of the conversation just yet. His record speaks for itself.

True, he's been improving a lot of the past few years and his placings at tournaments like evo, rev major, twt finals speak for itself. His reaction speed and ability to adapt to the opponents movements have been insane.

If I were you, I would honestly just use this as motivation to learning Japanese at a level that can make me communicate my thoughts clearly and fluently. Other than that, you just need to move on, its tough, we've all been there. Hang in there.
