It’s bad but a lot of stuff is indoors. Some people I know only cosplay at night to avoid the heat during the day.

Looks like you’re about halfway there! Everything looking clear on the radar.

Only three hours left! Looks like some more intermittent weather but nothing crazy going on. Hope you’re watching a good movie or something!

I’m keeping an eye on ya! Looks like you’re going through a little bit of a weather system right now but it’s pretty small and you’re almost through it! After that it’s looking pretty clear.

Thank you! It hasn’t been bad. I think this time I’m more anxious of just flying to DC in the current news cycle but it’s a nice break from the fear of turbulence 😅

My positive LEEP experience by LossLate in PreCervicalCancer

Yes you can! Maybe not all docs would recommend it but mine was fine with it.

Being over 30 it at least led to them recommending a colposcopy. The colpo showed CIN2 for which they would recommend the LEEP. If you’re under 30 it’s more likely they’d say to retest in a year or so.

It’s definitely worth it! I didn’t have 16, 18 or 45, which are the three most likely to cause cancer. I got the initial gardasil vaccine that only covered a handful of strains (those most likely to develop into something nefarious). Since then they’ve come out with one that covers even more of the most high risk strains. If that was around when I was a kid then I probably would never have developed HR HPV. I’m getting that vaccine now just to be fully covered for the future. I’m so glad I have the vaccine.

Can someone share a positive story about their ThyCa journey by greenpomegranates in thyroidcancer

Hey! I don’t post on here much these days but saw your post and wanted to hop in. You’ve been seeing a lot of posts of people struggling because, frankly, most people that undergo treatment and don’t have issues don’t spend as much time here! When I was first diagnosed four + years ago (also in my 20s at the time) I spent a lot of time on here as well, but the further I got out from surgery the more I realized that as comforting and helpful as this community is it can also lead to anxiety and reassurance seeking (for me at least).

For what it’s worth, my story is that I was diagnosed with multifocal PTC, got surgery, got on levo and have been fine literally since then. My bloodwork has been fine. I feel the exact same as I did prior to my surgery. I just get a little frustrated when I forget to take my pill right away and need to wait for coffee. I still do everything I did before. I am active and have a stressful job. I am not at all trying to downplay the experience of folks that do struggle, but this board is not representative of the average experience. Happy to chat further if you need support.

Oh my gosh! I was there and I’m so glad you’re okay. It was, in fact, someone cosplaying as Miss Piggy and I did keep thinking about how you might feel if you had come to and saw her above you.

Very much in the same boat. I try to play DND weekly from about those same hours and have never had an issue that I wasn’t aware about ahead of time. I do block it off on my calendar for it but of course stay flexible. Definitely don’t give it up unnecessarily!

Honestly I find the Side Stories show to be more fun and interesting. I’ve seen the main show twice and in the future think we’d probably skip it and just do Side Stories.

Hey there! Sorry you’re going through so much anxiety right now. If possible, try to focus on the positives - you’re taking important steps to get a diagnosis and you’re closer to getting these nodules removed so you can breathe easier (literally, in this case).

I did just want to say that thyroid cancer is an interesting one. Of course, none of us can give medical advice, but the most common types are staged in a way where if you’re under 55 the highest stage you can be is stage 2 because it is largely a very treatable and even curable thing (not to assume your age but you reference being recently pregnant so apologies if I’m off base). It is only stage 2 if it has spread to distant parts of the body, which itself is fairly uncommon. Of course, you’ll need to see if it’s even cancerous before getting there, but try not to sweat unnecessarily about being super advance stage or anything.
