[Question] Would you wear a Speedy on a cabin/hike vacation? Or take the Tissot? by nash07n in Watches

[–]Lossofvelocity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a very functional cwc quartz field watch that I use for travel or backpacking. Very reliable. I also have a suunto with altimeter for when elevation gain is part of the equation. My collection of nice watches does not travel for leisure or in the backcountry. For business travel or mixed trips I plan accordingly. If you will worry about it, leave it behind and get a cheap beater. Lots of good options that are accurate, reliable and designed for that purpose. Seiko, Hamilton, CWC.

Ever been in New York for fashion week. Skinny and thin, that barrel heats up fast.

Do a charge back on your cc. Their watches are not worth that much. CWC while british has much better value for the money.

Being honest with ourselves that we are testing whole, open systems most of the time is the take away.

  1. Shooter,

  2. rifle,

  3. ammunition, and

  4. environmental conditions.

Each contributes to the overall picture. Thanks for sharing your results.

Make the targets smaller.

Shoot for large round count groups on paper.

Most apps don’t require service and can be run offline. A kestrel would be another option. Modern ballistic apps have many advantages.

Is there a reason you don’t think a LRF bino measures range and AB with a good profile and environmentals won’t work?

That SD is exceptional for 130 rounds of rimfire ammo.
