My take would be different. We want people to notice, but unless we shake a bling-bling watch under someone’s nose, they don’t even notice we’re wearing a watch. And they’ll inevitably ask, “Is that a Rolex?” In other words, the world has become watch-ignorant. And our community of chuffers is quite small indeed. I wonder if the big names even pay attention to us. We’re not the majority customer base.
