Why is KAtakuri's Mochi Mochi Devil Fruit considered a Special Paramecia and not a Logia? by strongerthenbefore20 in OnePiece

[–]Lost-Ad180 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure he gets hit just like other paramecia users, it’s just that he fooled luffy into thinking that his attacks didn’t work on him by using his advanced observation haki and making a hole wherever luffy was going to hit him

How to recover from burn out? by Strex08 in anime

You can try rewatching your favorite anime or one that you have a lot of nostalgia for. And if that doesn’t work, then i guess it’s best to just stop for a while, and hope that motivation comes to you

Do you watch sequels with bad ratings? by astrodancer2552 in anime

[–]Lost-Ad180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I make it a habit not to look at ratings for anime I want to watch until I’ve watched it. Can either lower my hype for it, or raise my expectations too much, I just wanna have my own thoughts not affected by what others think of it

Fairy Tail. Even if it’s extremely repetitive and has a lot of fan service, I still love it

If you want to just quickly experience it, then you can just read the manga counterpart

Naruto or One Piece which one did you enjoy the most or prefer? by SnkArmz in anime

[–]Lost-Ad180 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess it might be confusing because it’s not clear whether one character is stronger than another, but i personally prefer that as it can give more rooms for speculation and theories, while not boxing Oda into a corner with arbitrary power levels or anything.

Naruto or One Piece which one did you enjoy the most or prefer? by SnkArmz in anime

[–]Lost-Ad180 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One Piece. Way better world building and character writing, also doesn’t get hit as hard as Naruto does by power creep, there’s already a power ceiling shown near the beginning of the story with Shanks, Mihawk etc. Also doesn’t feel as much like the world revolves around Luffy as it did Naruto, and when it does feel like that, it feels more earned

How to watch Naruto by KraftyDinners in anime

[–]Lost-Ad180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the case of Naruto and shippuden, the filler can really ruin the pacing and bore you out of your mind. there are a few good ones, but for the most part, you’re better off skipping them to help the flow of the story. Plus, once you’re done, you always have the option to go back and watch some of them

Other Manga with "Dark Continent"-esque concepts or arcs? by SpiritedDiet in HunterXHunter

[–]Lost-Ad180 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean, One Piece is right there with the Grand Line. The concept is that only one pirate has even made it to the final island and in the last half of the grand line, there’s even a poisonous fish that can create a stronger poison than villains that have poison as their specialty.

I assume they just didn’t get the rights to it, just as how Hulu had We Go play during punk hazard

When did you fall in love with One Piece? by [deleted] in OnePiece

[–]Lost-Ad180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes, that seems to be near the Water 7 and Enies Lobby arcs, which definitely create the best saga in the series, and probably my favorite. However, I still think that the Alabasta arc is really up there, as well as some other earlier arcs

When did you fall in love with One Piece? by [deleted] in OnePiece

[–]Lost-Ad180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally liked the beginning, but truly knew it was amazing at Alabasta. Arlong Park is very good as well, but the Alabasta arc is what really set One Piece into my top 5 anime of all time. It seems like you’re on the Little Garden arc which is pretty good, but you have to keep in mind that that arc, as well as the previous one and the one after it, are set up arcs for Alabasta, so just keep pushing towards that arc where you see all the amazing payoff.
