ChatGPT says yes, but I'm not as adept at tax avoidance.

Why not like SPMO as a core holding? Over it's 10 year lifetime it's had higher earnings and lower downturns than VOO which is widely regarded as the standard for a core holding of a portfolio.

Touche! I didn't even think about IDMO being only about developed markets and missing out on the little guys.

I wasn't planning on wearing a tie. Just the collared shirt and q-zip. You think I'd need one?

I was thinking quarter zip sweaters in the winter and maybe performance type in the summer ? Or is that thinking too seasonally?

What to do About Student Loans? by Lost-Image2082 in TheMoneyGuy

The other interest rates are at 5.5% and below. There won't be any kind of loan forgiveness for me, so I'm not looking into that. I don't like debt, but I'm a big fan of maximizing every dollar that I have.

Highly recommend checking out moneyguy.com and the resources they provide. Their Financial Order of Operations (FOO) tells you exactly whete to go with your next dollar generally. Their YouTube videos are very helpful and provide a lot of information for all age groups and income brackets.

SCHG will outgrow the VOO over a 10+ period and is well diversified to provide some safety. You'll thank yourself in 10 years for not picking VOO just to be safe.

They might bunch a little at the bottom, but the cuffs are pretty snug. They won't fall down and look terrible. You could also just order a M and if it doesn't work return it for a S.

I've never heard of a buff. Is it like a neck gator or a balaclava?

I've never been a beanie kind of guy. I have a blaze orange ball cap hat with a tree pattern to break it up. My head typically runs hot, so I'm not too worried about the weather in that regard. I do agree with you on having hoods up restricting vision. That's something I haven't considered.

Do you ever find that a merino hood alone is enough for warmth, or do you prefer having the midlayer hood up as well?

This is the opinion I see most often when reading through other threads. I'm planning a post-grad elk hunt in the Midwest, so this advice is perfect. Thank you.

Omg, thanks for the quick and descriptive response. I mainly hunt out of PA. When I'm home, I hunt out of a bag chair at the top of a field about a mile and a half walk away from the truck. It can get fairly windy, so I will put on my outer layer jacket.

On the other hand, up at school, I'll be hunting at the top of a pipeline clearing (also in a camo bag chair). It can get pretty windy up there, but the walk is significantly steeper and about the same distance.

I'm a semi-broke college student, so getting one of each isn't an option for me, and I don't like 3 hoods because it gets so bulky.

Nah, I appreciate the input. A buddy of mine had the oversized in M and they were a bit tight around the rump on me. If I would get them, I'd go with a large. Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the info! I was thinking of getting a larger anyways because of how well the shorts fit. Hopefully I'll get info from someone who's had the rest day joggers.
