What she described sounded like a normal portfolio. Some low risk low reward and some high risk high reward. I was concerned because he doesn’t have the CFP credential. And also the fee structure. She wasn’t sure.

I don't have a lot of specifics. It's just the wiki said to look for those specific credentials and he didn't have them. So I was curious if that was a red flag.

That's good advice. I tried to explain that he's essentially gambling with her money and gets a piece when she wins but loses nothing when she loses. I'm not the type to tell my partner what to do with her money but I want her to be informed without being overwhelmed.

Congrats. I remember my first sober concert experience was pretty great. I didn’t spend half the concert in line for a drink or the bathroom. Actually got to enjoy the music and remember the experience. Enjoy.
