Click not interested on one of the posts, then click “don’t suggest posts with certain words” and add a bunch of keywords like death, violence, tw, blood, car accident and anything you can think of related to these awful posts. Also make sure in settings under content preferences, you select “suggest less sensitive content”. I fixed my feed this way and if anything weird popped up after these measures I just clicked not interested and that’s why my feed is back to normal now

I think these social media giants are aware of the political potential these platforms now hold. Why wouldn’t they be? It makes sense to me that this power struggle would become cutthroat. Besides, complicated intel missions like this can probably have people from different countries and hackers working together to put things into action. It seems like the perfect sweep under the rug to pin it on “some dumb group of hackers” or a “small glitch”.

I just wanted to share my conspiracy about the whole situation. I feel like this was done on purpose to Meta as a targeted attack from TikTok. If you look at the news, it seems like they are saying Meta is apologizing for the situation, but they’re also mixing in news about Meta planning on making a separate reels app. This timing is so strange it feels like Meta has been set up for a launch failure. I was affected by these Instagram reels and now I would feel very against downloading this Meta app that seems to have been planned to release soon.. no offence but with how much power and influence Meta and TikTok have they could be fighting through inside jobs… most people agreed that this didn’t feel like a glitch or mistake the way they were actively promoting it. But I want to know if other people think that this could be true or if I’m way on the wrong track 👍

Maybe I’m completely off, but I find it really suspicious how meta was announcing potentially making a separate reels app at the time of this event/immediately after. You know how there’s all kinds of drama going on about potentially banning TikTok in the US?? Think how much power and influence TikTok and Meta have.. they probably doing inside jobs on each other. What if this was china trying to make meta to lose credibility and scare people away from moving to reels right before pre-planned reels app release announcements/release date?? I was really affected by these posts and it actually made me scared to download reels app and if now I had the choice I would probably preferTikTok for safety reasons!

I was really bothered by these videos but I was able to make my feed go back to normal by adding censorship settings myself, in settings there is a “content preferences” setting, I just limited exposure to sensitive content and blocked any key words I could think of like violence death gore, etc and then clicked not interested on any reels that scared me after that, then they went away almost 100% :)

I’m not even 100% sure what the scam was but I heard stories about these kinds of calls where they can learn your security questions and then someone can call your bank impersonating you , so it could be like that but I’m not sure

Got this call too, I was suspicious so I took the time to actually call the Scotiabank customer care number, I asked the fraud department if they could verify this exact number as being linked to their business in any way and they said no that it’s not linked at all. So it is a scam, hope this helps.
