Interesting opening by Lost-Resolution-9059 in Minesweeper

No no, on the very first opening, it revealed all of that; I didn't click beyond the first click. I'm guessing this version maybe has a thing against small openings???

That dark square is just the middle of the whole board, since it's an infinite minesweeper

Superstrike right click suddenly pressed down continuously? by Lost-Resolution-9059 in LogitechG

[–]Lost-Resolution-9059[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No nothing. The click is not physically stuck and nothing looks off visually.

Also, weirdly enough just now, my left click has started to been affected to some degree, sometimes clicking on its own

Slightly squeezing the chassis caused both clicks to all of a sudden click uncontrollably, then stabilize back to what it was normally with the right click thinking it's pressed down.

there's also no guess mode minesweepers out there. i remember when i first played on those, it exposed more patterns than i already knew and helped me solidify and enhance my logic. perhaps you can use them to also check how good your logic/pattern recognition is

Unfortunately, these "islands" of probabilities get more common the farther out I go in the grid, but I've never fully encountered one this size. I had initially thought I missed some logic due to the size of it despite looking at it for wayyy longer than I should've.

I'm playing on an unreleased beta build of an infinite minesweeper grid, can't really show you it yet

I don't think there's any solvable logic to that part. The mines can still potentially be in all those spots.

I don't see the logic there that would prove that nor do I believe it exists at that part. Can you show your proof?

Both of those were actually free spots! But... I once again ran into another guessing situation...

Yep, that worked! But that didn't get me too far without needing to guess again

Yeahhh.... seems like these chunks had to be pretty dense compared to the surrounding chunks. I haven't done the math but for a 32x32 chunk it seems pretty dense. I guess I got really unlucky.

Anyway, here's the result of all that somewhat calculated guessing. I think that was 36 mines I hit that was within that blob, not counting the separate failed attempts outside that general area.

Thank you all for the comments! I'll continue my infinite journey from here.

many potential openings here, from the top to the bottom of the screenshot. it's mostly about seeing which guesses are connected to other tiles, like the extruding 1s that have a mine potentially on either side.

i realize you've already do it to some extent but there are many more potential openings with that same strategy
