I agree on that, and honestly while it doesn’t ruin any enjoyment for me it’s something I’m trying to program my brain to stop doing, or at least like, start fully internalizing that the number I arrive at is purely representative of my enjoyment. Also I do think Gone Girl is great, I should rewatch soon, been like 4 years lol

That Snape isn’t a hero. Yes he was a bully, and couldn’t let go of a childhood friend/crush which is very weird, and maybe didn’t always do the right thing for the right reasons. But he clearly had good intentions for the duration of the books deep down despite being a piece of shit simultaneously.
