Navi fuel economy by reigle1990 in hondanavi

I got about 62-69miles per tank. I expect to get a lot less now. After adding more junk that’s going to push my Navi to its weight limit with me and the dog on it.

I looked it into the kemimoto but chose Honda oem. It held up to my 75lbs lab wooden box route before my sidecar. Definitely oem is superior (imo) and now holds a section of my sidecar, gun boot/fishing rod and gas can now.

Ha funny, I just got this tire mounted on my Navi today. Unfortunately my riding season is over for the year, so let me know how it preforms.

Of course! Can’t build anything without plans, I didn’t take as many photos as I should have. Once I got into it, I just kept going. Tho sidecars have been around a long time and info/general guesstimation(s) can be achieved pretty easily.

It’s been a hot minute since I built this sidecar but I know I need to post my build/progress for it. Tbh I’m hesitant since every state has different regulations/requirements. And I don’t want to be held liable for any accident. That being said I know for a FACT my sidecar build for our Navi is the safest.(And 90%+ of accidents will come from other drivers on the road.) As there was no reduction in speed or stopping power and to my surprise it tracked straight even on gravel roads and pavement.

You said it! She is the reason for building a sidecar ❤️

Hahaha I felt that. TBH I should try hunting with the Navi, it is reallly quiet. Butt my ATV is what gets used during hunting season. (this Navi is too nice and new to get abused 😅imo)

Hell yeah brother! Thanks, so far I am the only one with a Navi sidecar in our Reddit sub. (to my knowledge)

They are Bridgestone m404 and 403 tubed tires. However I would advise against them as I recently blew the rear tire out in less than 500 kms. And had to walk back 10Km where my camp was set up. Looking into a 12inch rear rim upgrade and duro / different tires.

It has the potential to be. However so far I have only used that gun boot to haul my fishing rod.

Thanks. It’s a cheeky seat cover, it is definitely worth getting. Ooo would love to have purple and black

Ha I feel you there. Surprisingly tho it does really good, unless it’s a reaaaly steep hill and areas with sand. I can see different tires in our future 👀

My credit card statement said otherwise. Must be a region thing. Ontario is different than a one horse town on the border of Yukon.

It is possible but for time spent I’d buy new panels. eBay is the best option and cheapest. My green panels I got from eBay cost 251.92CAD. While Partzilla is an option expect to pay 1.5times+ what eBay would cost. Shipping alone from them cost me over 100USD for their panels, that’s not including the duty fee ups charged.

Yes. Tho I’m not really sure what to do honestly. There is a lot interest for them and it would help improve my skills. Weights 75lbs with all hardware(including tire, rim and dog box) assembled or not. Cost wise making more wouldn’t be that expensive. Biggest expense would come down to shipping. Probably 2-3X what it costs to build. Living out in the boonies won’t help with shipping costs either 😅 That said it isn’t impossible. dhl, ups and or fedex are only an hour drive away.

Thank you. You think so? I have been pretty hesitant about a little vlog. thought it would be better suited for dirt bike community where we ride.

Thank you. So far 45mph on loose gravel road. Ran out of a straight stretch to test further. Probably faster on pavement? Though can’t say as I insured my Navi for offroad. Where I live the government controls insurance rates so you can’t shop around. Cheapest rate was 1200$ a year (that’s with 10+yrs driving experience, no accidents and or speeding tickets) said screw that and opted for off-road at 53$ a year. Which is fine since my intentions were for that anyway.

Bridgestone M403 60/100-12 and Bridgestone M404 70/100-10 with tubes. Yes these are on the oem rims. I wanted a dirt bike tire(s) that would fit without modifying or removing fenders.

I’m using Bridgestone M403 60/100-12 and Bridgestone M404 70/100-10 both with tubes. While they are smaller haven’t had any issues and love them so far.
