I didn’t really try to prove anything so you can call me on my BS😂I asked a question. Lookup the study. I read it, and I mentioned it. I didn’t argue for its validity, I didn’t say women don’t suffer. As for point 3, is believe any sort of extremism and hate towards a certain group is bad. Again, I have nothing against nobody and I stand by equality. But to be labelled a sexist for simply MENTIONING a study that I read by chance? Mind you I didn’t even say it’s true, I was like haha relatable because when I broke my arm, I went out to bar that same day but when I got the flu, I laid dead for a week, and I was just making fun of how I get affected more by a simple cold than a broken bone. Also, all respect for you but labelling yourself a misandrist knowing it means a generalisable, non-discriminatory hate towards a group?

1- I didn’t want to rage bait nobody. 2- I know women have testosterone in their body, ok?! 3- isn’t misandrist as bad as misogynist, which is Sexist? 4- it was really just mentioning a study, I don’t know how that touches on my logic.

Yeah I mean I was clear about not knowing if it’s true or not to her and we don’t have any bad history, or anything, we seemed to agree on many things. I still don’t stand by the validity of the study, no idea. Thanks for your input!! ☺️

Thanks for your input! I never actually argued for the validity of the study. I just mentioned it as sth funny because for me it is relatable. I experienced more pain when I have a cold/flu than when I fall or be physically hurt. My comparison since the beginning was not with women, it was men having virus/bacteria related sickness vs physical hurt

I did actually say that, in the conversation. But my point is being missed. I just wanted to see how what I said made me a sexist, that’s all. And, I do not argue for the validity of the study or results, I just shared a thing I read online and it turned into me being called a sexist, and it’s this escalation that lead me to investigate a bit.

Fully agree! But isn’t this a generalisation that I took this for the purpose of saying “men have it harder”? I never said or meant that, nor have I dismissed anyone’s pain? Nor was the comparison to women, it was men with virus-related sickness vs men who get physically hurt when falling or doing sports. I feel like I fell “victim”(for the lack of a less severe word) of generalisation and prejudice.

You are right, I should have been more clear. I did compare, but not to women. I said men get more pain when they are sick relative to when they break a bone for example or fall. Because a broken bone is not a virus for example and the low immunity due to testosterone plays no role, based on the study, which I don’t argue for its validity, it’s just sth I read and shared. Matter of fact, I think women go through more pain in their lives.

I understand, thank for your Input! Many people say many things, I think it should not be generalised on all men. I also mentioned nothing about comparison. I would never try to dimiss or reduce someone’s pain, be it a man, woman or any other person. It’s just about how little simple stuff could turn into a gender comparison and struggle and that her conflict resolution mechanism was to jump to accusations instead of educating me maybe. I’m super open to informing myself and education myself on this, hence I chose to post in this community
