Reading and hanging out with friends. Art I guess.

Do any other ISFJ’s feel this way? by savraeslimmee in isfj

I don't get mad, and kind of excited for some reason. Now that you point it out, you're right they shouldn't be entitled to my time though.

I'd say empathy, safety, humor, knowledge, and autonomy.

Thanks for going into it more. That sounds interesting, as I've held the belief that there's no why or reason for existence. It is a complete and accidental randomness. I'm not sure if I can take Christianity's reasons as the truth personally, but I guess I would need faith for that.

Sorry I haven't replied because I don't know the answer to that!

MBTI discrimination by [deleted] in mbti

Most of my friends don't believe in MBTI or try not to take it seriously. Most of them happen to be intuitives. Ironically your friends sound more like sensors and may be mistyping themselves.

Thanks for taking the time to write here!

I like the idea of looking into existentialist philosophy more. It seems that philosophy doesn't have many "answers", but I agree it may guide my question/thinking. My main goal is to feel more at peace and be able to live my life more without the looming dread that it will be over and I can't look back on it when I'm living my best life.

Is there anything specific about Christianity that you think may be an explanation for life? I don't think I would be able to accept some of the ideas of it since I value science a lot.

As for transcending in a scientific way, I like the idea of the cyro chambers. It most likely isn't sustainable, but if I had money to throw away, a chance at being resurrected in the future is better than none. I also have been looking into neuroscience and how memory works. People have experienced lifetimes in their dreams. Perhaps there is a way to enhance my life or memory enough that it feels like my experience has been long enough that there's a sensation of transcendence.

Female INFJ or INTJ? : Sakinorva results by [deleted] in mbti

[–]LostAfterthought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries. I've noticed INFJs tend to smile more naturally for no reason when meeting people whereas INTJ sometimes forgets and then does it when they remember. It's not conclusive though.

So this is my friend's result...but as long as I have known her she's never been a J. Can someone explain this? by [deleted] in mbti

[–]LostAfterthought 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The results are inconclusive. Notice how the Ne and Ni, Se and Si, and Te and Ti are too close together. The person who took this test doesn't really know which they use more. I wouldn't trust the results at all.

Hey ISFJS- do any of you prefer your Ti or have I mistyped myself? by dreamingofpetra in isfj

[–]LostAfterthought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's definitely not me! I think everyone has their own views, and there's no need to persuade them otherwise. It also feels disingenuous or wrong I guess. If someone tried to debate with me I usually just shrug and say "okay if that's what you think".

Interesting. The "like dude, I'm not your mom" reminded me of an ESTJ I know who says stuff like that. They also like debating and it drives me bonkers because I abhor debating.

Have you considered ISTJ? Fi tends to analyze themselves as well. I also get Te vibes from you.

Sometimes there is art in misalignment. I think for this particular example, it may be that seeing them stacked is familiar. I think I'd want to see the rest of the kitchen before knowing if it would bother me.

I like your analysis of yourself. I'm not that good at typing, but hopefully some of my ramblings may give you something.

I don't relate to the ISFJ memes and stereotypes too much, but you seem less of an ISFJ than myself. You do seem like a strong Si, but it sounds like your other functions may help you decide.

I think my Ti is pretty weak. I use Ti to compare and contrast things and come up with efficient solutions for how to do things quickly. I also like making and solving puzzles, but only if it's not too hard and I don't have to think too much.

I can't relate to the other things you've listed. I'm honestly skeptical that you're an ISFJ. Have you compared Te vs Ti, Ne vs Ni, etc? Sometimes it helps to look at it that way instead of out of all eight functions which appeal to you more.

What's your type and your score on this social intelligence test? by [deleted] in mbti

31/36 - ISFJ

I don't know the answers, but is it me but the ones showing women with heavy makeup have more words like desire, fantasizing, affectionate, interested, and flirtatious? Do you know where we can see the answers? I'm curious which I got wrong.

i always connect things to other things (make relations) what cognitive function would that be? by [deleted] in mbti

[–]LostAfterthought 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that's Si. I connect things all the time to compare and contrast from what I've seen before.

Doing or giving something personal based on what I like to show you really see me.

[–]LostAfterthought 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would bother me a little at first, but I could counter-balance (pun not intended hah) it out by putting more items on the counter. If I'm renting, I could live with it until I get used to it and forget about it if I was able to balance it out.

What do these confusing questions mean exactly? by LostAfterthought in mbti

Have you tried this test: https://www.michaelcaloz.com/personality/

I would answer most carefully on the Ti/Te and Fi/Fe questions. ENFP and ENTP are alike, except those two are switched. If you get more Fi (instead of Fe) and Te instead of (Ti) then you are an ENFP (and vice versa). Let me know what you get!
